ZUYD EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

To be eligible for a Zuyd Excellence Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

1. You do not have an EU/EEA nationality or the nationality of Switzerland or Suriname.
2. You have received your Zuyd student number through Studielink.
3. You meet the specific requirements of the study programme.
4. You are required to pay the highest institutional tuition fees.
5. You live in the Netherlands during your study period.
6. You have never cut short a Zuyd programme without obtaining a degree. You are applying to start one of the following government-funded, fully English-taught programmes:

8. Hospitality (Hotel) Management
9. Interdisciplinary Arts
10. International Business
11. Music (Bachelor and Master)
12. Interior Architecture Your application must include:
13. A completed and signed ZES application form
14. A personal letter of motivation for wanting to study at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences
15. One letter of reference by e.g. a lecturer or a mentor of your current educational institution
16. Your curriculum vitae (resume)

1. ZES applications are assessed on an individual basis and in order of arrival and are always subject to supply and demand.
2. A committee of the International Office and the concerning faculty decides on the awarding and distribution of the scholarships among the applicants. Selection is based on academic merit and/or entrance examination results and the motivation and reference letters accompanying this registration form.
3. You will be notified of the scholarship awarding results by email.
4. For submissions before 1 May: before 1 June, unless there are pending entrance exam results.
5. For submissions after 1 May: within 6 weeks, unless there are pending entrance exam results.
6. If you are not granted a scholarship, you may deregister for the programme without any further obligations preceding the academic semester/year for which you have registered.
7. A minimum of 45 obtained credits per academic year is required for renewal of the scholarship for the following academic year.
8. Renewal of the scholarship applies only for the nominal duration of the programme concerned. Other Info
9. In order to receive the scholarship funds recipients must meet the intake conditions as presented by the faculty they have applied to and be accepted to the program by completing their admission through Studielink. Funds will not be dispersed until proof of acceptance into the program has been presented to the International Office by the Zuyd Admissions Office. If the student is not admitted to the program the Zuyd International Office reserves the right to revoke the scholarship until further notice.
10. If the student deregisters prematurely, part of the scholarship that has been paid out will be reclaimed pro rata.
11. You will no longer be entitled to the ZES if at any given moment in time during your studies you fail to meet all of the above listed criteria.
12. As a scholarship recipient you may be contacted by the marketing and recruitment team of your Faculty to put in a max. 50 service hours per year for promotional activities. At the beginning of the academic year you will be invited to an information session by your marketing and recruitment team, to receive more information about the planning.
