MERCK INDIA CHARITABLE TRUST (MICT) SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

1. Open for students who have successfully passed Class 10 (SSC) with a minimum 80% marks in an academic session.
2. Applicant’s family income must be less than or equal to INR 20,000 per month.
3. Only students who are currently residing and studying in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane are eligible for this scholarship program.

Stated amount: 35,000 Under this scholarship program, MICT scholars receive INR 35,000 per year (based on actual receipts of education expenses as submitted by students) to cover their various academic expenses. The amount of scholarship given under the Merck India Charitable Trust Scholarship Program can be utilized to cover the following educational expenses -

1. Tuition fees
2. Coaching fees
3. Books and stationery
4. Uniform bills

1. Copy of Class 10 mark sheet attested by school/institution principal or any gazetted officer.
2. Passport-size photograph.
3. Income proof/salary slips of last 3 months of all the earning family members attested by respective employers & revenue office/tehsildar or income certificate of the family from revenue office/BPL card/ration card.
4. Proof of permanent residence in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane - (ration card/election card/electricity bill/telephone bill/rent agreement).
5. Bank passbook or cancelled cheque or original letter from the bank clearly stating the following details: i. Name of account holder ii. Account number iii. IFSC code iv. Bank & branch name

1. Management decision on the selection of students will be final and binding.
2. Merck has the option to stop the scholarship if a scholar’s grades consistently fall, over a period of time. Other Info In case of a scholar being held or involved in any anti-social activity, Merck in no way shall be accountable for it. In such cases, the scholarship will be discontinued with immediate effect. If at any point of time Merck finds that the information given by the scholar at the time of application was misleading; it will call for immediate discontinuation of the scholarship.
