Eligibility
- M.Sc. in Zoology/ Life Sciences/Natural Sciences (Biotechnology/ Bio-Informatics/ Forensic Sciences) and Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences from a recognized University in India and having 3 years of research/ teaching experience (duration of Ph.D. to be considered as research experience) in a recognized Institution/ University after M.Sc. with at least two (2) research papers in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journals.
- Research experience in taxonomy, systematics, zoology or allied subject supported by publications, field survey experience in nature and wildlife, wildlife photography, knowledge of Computer, GIS, and basic field data collection and statistical analysis, experience of molecular work evident by publications, experience on publication, review, and editorial work.
- The upper age limit for applying for the award of PDF shall be 35 years as of 20th February. The upper age limit is relaxed up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL)/Women/ Physically Challenged applicants.

Stated amount: 47,000 Rs. 47,000/- + Admissible HRA (As per rules) per month, Rs. 49,000/- & Rs.54,000/- in subsequent years based on performance and recommendation of the committee. No Information Available.

Selection process
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their qualifications and experience. Mere possession of qualifications and experience may not entertain a candidate called for an interview or selection. Although there is an indication of a number of vacancies, the Director, ZSI reserves the right to select any number of candidates.
