The World Citizen Talent Scholarship for International Students is aimed at seeking intelligent, talented, and ambitious international students at the Hague University of Applied Sciences. The scholarship grant is only applicable to international students at the university pursuing a postgraduate program such as Hague MBA Program. Do you consider yourself a global citizen? Every year, up to three (one-time) scholarships worth EUR 5,000 (INR 4, 66, 361) are available to prospective Master’s students. Eligibility

You are eligible for a World Citizen Talent Scholarship if you:

  1. Originate from outside the Netherlands and do not live in the Netherlands.
  2. Are enrolling in The Hague University of Applied Science Pro for the first time.
  3. Have never applied for this scholarship before.
  4. Have been conditionally accepted to join your chosen programme on or before 31 March for the upcoming academic year.

Application

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. There are no separate scholarship applications to apply for the World Citizen Talent Scholarship. However, applicants are required to submit an essay to the university. Application for this scholarship grant can be done by following these simple steps below: Step 1 Apply for the Master’s programme of your choice using the online application tool. Step 2 Complete the following essay assignment. Write an essay about one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): a. How it fit into your bachelor program? b. How would like you to make a change in the world through your program/career? (Choose one SDG from the link above.) Assignment suggestion: Choose one Sustainable Development Goal from the link above. Research around the goal by thinking about the following questions: a. What is the goal? b. How does it relate to your field of study? c. What issue does the goal help address? d. Why is this important? e. How can the goal be achieved? f. Which strategies have worked in different countries? Word limit: minimum 750 words and maximum 1100 words. Step 3 Submit your essay by emailing it to talentscholarship@hhs.nl Please state your name and student number in the essay and write WCTS and your student number in the email subject line. Selection process

  1. We have appointed a committee to assess all essays.
  2. The judges will select the three students with the most impressive essays to receive the scholarship.
  3. The jury’s decision is binding and you will be informed about the results by email.
  4. Please note that you will only be awarded the scholarship after you have been conditionally accepted and have met all terms and conditions of enrolment.
  5. Once the scholarship has been awarded, the relevant amount (EUR 5,000 (INR 4, 66, 361)) will be waived from the tuition fee as the last instalment.
  6. By submitting your essay, you are giving us the right to publish it if desired.
  7. Scholarship winners are also expected to participate actively in the programme and its evaluations, become an ambassador of the Master’s programmes and contribute to the internationalisation of our institution.

We recommend that you read the eligibility criteria for the embassy and make sure to answer all questions so that this will result in a positive assessment. Your motivation should not be general, but unique. It is important that you show the embassy that, on returning to your country, you will be in a position to create a positive change in your organisation and for your country. This information is very important for the embassies when evaluating your application and cannot be underestimated. Other Condition for Award The World Citizen Talent Scholarship is awarded to academically outstanding international students who want to study in the Netherlands at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.
  9. Scholarship applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  10. The scholarship amount is awarded only after a student has been conditionally accepted to the university,
  11. and has completed the enrollment process.
  12. The scholarship amount is awarded as a tuition waiver of EUR 5,000 (INR 4, 66, 361).
  13. Recipients will have to incur the cost of living, accommodation, and travel in the Netherlands. The World Citizen Talent Scholarship is non-renewable and provided only once for students. Students cannot apply for any other scholarship if the World Citizen Talent Scholarship has been granted to them.
