UQ's Academic Scholarship program offers up to $12,000 to put towards your studies. If you’re a high-achieving student completing Year 12, or you’re on a gap year, you're encouraged to apply. Eligibility
UQ Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship You're eligible if you: achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent) complete Year 12 And either of the below: Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder; or Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia. And you: have not completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program) have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your 1st QTAC preference are intending to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program UQ Excellence Scholarship You're eligible if you: achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.00 (or equivalent) complete Year 12 And either of the below: Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder; or Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia. And you: have not completed any previous tertiary study, other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program) have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your 1st preference are intending to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program.

Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. Apply via the UQ application portal. You can save your application and come back to it at any time. You'll need: your QTAC Application number evidence of your most outstanding achievements from Years 11 and 12 in the areas of leadership and community service.
Selection process
The selection process is based on application and essay. We’ll email you to acknowledge receipt of your application. If you have not received an email within 2 days of applying, please email us at scholarships@uq.edu.au. You will be notified in writing of your award if you meet the eligibility upon release of ATAR (or equivalent).
