This scholarship was established through generous donations from University of Melbourne engineering alumni, industry partners and the broader community, and is offered to students who are enrolling in a masters degree by coursework in the Faculty of Engineering and IT.

Eligibility
- Enrolling in a full-time Melbourne master’s program at its School of Engineering.
- Excellent academic scores in the undergraduate degree.
- Both domestic and international students, fulfilling the eligibility criteria, are considered for the scholarship.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 1,256,800 The scholarship with an allowance of $5,000 (4,18,946.50 Indian Rupee) per year for two years is offered to students with the highest entry score who are either: international students, or domestic students enrolling in a Commonwealth Support Place. The scholarship with an allowance of $15,000 (12,56,839.50 Indian Rupee) per year for two years is offered to international students with the highest entry score enrolling in Graduate Professional Masters Coursework Programs. The annual allowance is paid in two instalments in April and September. The last date to apply for this scholarship is March 31, 2026.
Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program.
- The university has not established any separate application process or system for the Melbourne School of Engineering Scholarship.
- Applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be automatically considered at the time of their admission to the University of Melbourne. Therefore, all candidates are advised to carefully complete their admission applications and submit the forms before the deadline.
Selection process
The scholarship is offered to eligible candidates with the highest entry scored based on the results of their previous tertiary studies. This scholarship is subject to the Engineering & IT Commencing Scholarship Terms and Conditions. The scholarship can be deferred to the following year but cannot be transferred to another course. In addition, you must achieve a weighted average mark of 65 or higher to maintain the scholarship payments.
