UNIVERSITY OF GRONINGEN NL SCHOLARSHIP
The NL Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The University of Groningen offers NL Scholarships to international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their master’s in the Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. Please note that students from Switzerland and Suriname are not eligible to apply.

Eligibility
To qualify for the NL Scholarship University of Groningen: A. You do not hold the nationality of one of the EEA countries B. You are going to study in the Netherlands C. You do not have a degree from an educational institution in the Netherlands D. You have excellent grades during your bachelor/undergraduate studies E. You meet the specific requirements of the University of Groningen F. You have a letter from the University of Groningen with an admission offer G. Write a motivation letter in which you make clear why you are the right candidate for the NL Scholarship University of Groningen
Award & availability
Stated amount: 453,200 A scholarship of €5,000 to contribute to your living costs in The Netherlands. You will receive this in the first year of your studies. No Information Available
Application
No Information Available You can apply for the scholarship after you have received an admission offer from the University of Groningen. The deadlines for the academic year are 1 February (23:59 CET) for the first call and 1 June (23:59 CEST) for the second call. The new application form for the next academic year will be published on 1 November. You can apply by clicking on the following link: Apply now. Please note: incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration. Carefully read how to apply and make sure to attach all required documents to your application. You can only apply for either the first or second call, not both.
Selection process
A. A ranking of candidates will be made after a careful evaluation of the applicant's academic merit (i.e. results obtained in the study programme, academic research activities, overall evaluation of previous education etc.) and of the candidates' NL Scholarship motivational statements. B. Aim to notify all applicants of the selection results for the first call by 15 March and for the second call by 15 July. Rest assured that every applicant will receive a notification regarding their application outcome. There is no need for applicants to take any further action in this regard.
