Eligibility

  1. The NUI Hardiman Research Scholarship is offered to Ph.D. students enrolled in full-time research courses at the National University of Ireland.
  2. Applicant must hold first or upper-second-class honors primary degree or equivalent.
  3. Must meet English Language Requirements as specified by the university.

Award & availability

Stated amount: 2,028,400 The Hardiman PhD Scholarships are fully funded for four years, with a stipend of €22,000 p.a. (20,28,453.64 Indian Rupee) plus tuition fee covered. No Information Available.

Application

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. Application for NUI Hardiman Research Scholarship should be submitted online. The online application process consists of the following steps:

  1. Before submitting the application, the candidate must choose and nominate a Ph.D. supervisor who shall discuss Ph.D. research plans.
  2. It is also important to contact the potential supervisor.
  3. Complete applications must be submitted at hrscholar@nuigalway.ie.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Selection process

There are four main sections in the application form which are mainly assessed by the assessors. Each section carries different marks or points.

  1. Personal Research Statement (max. 50 points)
  2. Academic Qualifications (max. 30 points)
  3. Referees’ reports (max. 10 points)
