Undergraduate and Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships have been created to support students wishing to develop their academic potential and contribute to the thriving University community of students and staff from over 170 countries. Global Excellence Scholarships recognize high academic achievement and assist scholars in accessing our exceptional teaching and learning, whilst taking advantage of all that University life offers to support their ambitions for the future. Eligibility
For Undergraduate Students- You can apply for one of these scholarships if you:
- Are classified as an International student for fees purposes (including any EU students required to pay International fees); and
- Already hold an offer for an eligible Undergraduate degree at the University of Exeter, commencing in September. For Postgraduate Student You can apply for one of these scholarships if you:
- Are classified as an International student for fees purposes (including any EU students required to pay International fees); and
- Already hold an offer for an eligible Postgraduate taught degree at the University of Exeter, commencing in September.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 823,899 Awards of £7,5 00 (INR 8, 23, 899) are being offered by the University of Exeter. Scholarships are limited.
Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. To be considered for one of these scholarships, once you have your offer, please apply using the web form here. A personal statement (of no more than 300 words) is required as part of the form, responding to the following questions:
- What is your interest in your chosen program of study and what are you hoping to learn?
- What are your future ambitions and how will your studies help you to achieve them?
- What would being awarded a Global Excellence Scholarship mean to you – what difference would it make?

Selection process
Scholarship recipients are selected on:
- Academic merit, based on the information you have supplied in your UCAS application. Applicants will typically be expected to demonstrate that they have achieved or are able to achieve the equivalent of GCE A level grades AAB or International Baccalaureate 34 points. For the Business School, the expectation is higher, set at GCE A level grades A*AA or equivalent.
- The ability to demonstrate the following as part of the application process: academic ambition; future career ambitions; a genuine need for the scholarship and how this will support your ambitions; a sense of social responsibility and willingness to engage with the Exeter community. Other Info Undergraduate and Postgraduate awards are being offered by the following departments: Departments offering scholarships Subject areas The Business School Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, Economics College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences Computer Science, Engineering, Geology, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Renewable Energy College of Humanities Archaeology, Art History & Visual Culture, Classics and Ancient History, Communications, Drama, English, Film Studies, History, Liberal Arts, Modern Languages and Cultures, Theology and Religion College of Life and Environmental Sciences Biosciences, Environmental Science, Geography, Human Sciences, Natural Sciences, Psychology, Sport and Health Sciences College of Medicine and Health Medical Imaging, Medical Sciences, Neuroscience, Nursing All campus-based Undergraduate degrees in the above areas are eligible, except the following: Ineligible Undergraduate programmes- All Flexible Combined Honours; BMBS Medicine; Degree Apprenticeships; Dual LLB/Juris Doctor (JD) with the Chinese University of Hong Kong; LLB Law (for Brickfields Asia College only); Legal Practice Course (LPC); Graduate Law LLB. All campus-based Postgraduate taught degrees (Masters) in the above areas are eligible, except the following: Ineligible PGT programmes- The Exeter MBA; MRes Global Political Economy; MRes Management; MRes Economics (Pathway to PhD); MSc Human Resources Management 24 or 30 months; MSc Minerals Processing (Professional); MSc Mining Engineering (Professional); MA International Film Business; MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation; Clinical Psychology programmes delivered by Clinical Education, Development and Research (CEDAR); Master of Public Administration (MPA) with Applied Study; Legal Practice Course (LPC); Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL); MA Law (SQE1); MA Law (Conversion); LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1&2); SQE Preparation Courses;Postgraduate Certificates; Postgraduate Diplomas; Degree Apprenticeships. Fully online or distance learning programmes are not eligible.
