UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE INTERNATIONAL MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP

1. These scholarships are restricted to students who are overseas fee payers and are entirely self-funded.
2. These scholarships may be awarded to students who have completed relevant university studies in one of the specified countries. Where a degree has been awarded by an institution based in the UK, students must have been domiciled in one of the other specified countries.
3. Graduates of the University of Essex are not eligible for this award.
4. Awards made by an institution based in one of the specified countries, but delivered in another country, will also be eligible.
5. Students must have been awarded an undergraduate degree (this includes integrated Masters degrees) with the grade specified or above. A higher Masters's grade cannot be taken to compensate for a lower bachelor's grade.
6. Students must register at the University of Essex in October or January for the first year of a full-time Masters course in a current academic year only, leading to the degree of: MA, MSc, LLM, MRes, MPP, MBM.
7. The award cannot be held in conjunction with any other University of Essex scholarships. Students who are eligible for this award and are joining Essex through a link agreement, which includes a discounted fee, will receive the award which is greater in value.
8. This scholarship is available for the first year of Masters study only.
9. Successful applicants should be available for promotional activities. For India- Tier 1- 55% or CGPA 6/10 or CGPA 2.4/4. Tier 2- 60% or CGPA 6.5/10 or CGPA 2.6/4.

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program.

1. If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for this award. You don’t need to complete an application form.
2. The University will assess your eligibility based on the academic transcripts and certificates you submit with your application for your place at Essex.
3. Applicants who have firmly accepted an offer of a place by September and met the academic conditions of entry, will be considered for these scholarships. Applications submitted after that date may be considered depending on the availability of funds. For further details, please click here.

2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities. Other Info Students who are not eligible The following students are NOT eligible for the Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship regardless of meeting the above criteria:
4. Students studying a course that is normally delivered wholly online by Kaplan Open Learning, operating as University of Essex Online.
5. Courses below Masters level: including, but not limited to, Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Certificates (PGCerts), and Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDips).
6. This scholarship award does not apply to deferred entry. Where a scholarship has been awarded to a student who subsequently defers entry to the following academic year, the award will be withdrawn and the applicant will be considered again in line with the terms and conditions that apply in the new proposed year of entry.
7. Students who are fully or partly sponsored.
8. Students who are joining Essex through a link agreement which includes a discounted fee. In this case, where a student is also eligible for this award, we will apply the award which is greater in value.
9. University of Essex International College (UEIC) Pathway students.
10. Current students whose first year of Postgraduate study at the University of Essex, was prior to a current academic year.
11. Graduates of the University of Essex are not eligible for this award. Payment arrangements
12. These scholarships will only be made available as a reduction on the tuition fee that is payable on registration at the University. Payment cannot be offset against a tuition fee deposit if one is required.
13. If you intermit from your course, you may, at the discretion of the University, be entitled to a prorata payment of the remainder of your award on your return to study.
