Twelve Higgs Scholarships are available to students on one of the MSc programmes offered by the School of Physics and Astronomy. Scholarships have a value of £10, 000 (INR 10, 96, 002) each. The School of Physics and Astronomy are offering twelve scholarships to applicants who have applied to study full-time on either the MSc Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc Theoretical Physics programmes of study for the current academic session. Eligibility
Applicants must have applied to study full-time on either the MSc Theoretical Physics, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc in Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences programmes of study commencing in the current academic year.

Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program.
- You should familiarise yourself with the scholarship eligibility criteria before applying.

- A scholarship may be restricted to certain programmes, so we therefore need to know which application for study, or programme of study you are applying for.
- If you are a registered student, we only need to know which scholarship you wish to apply for.
- You can only select one scholarship at a time. 10 .Having selected a scholarship to apply for, the background eligibility checks are now performed.
- If there are any additional questions for you to answer about your eligibility, these will be displayed at this point in the application.
- If you are eligible you will continue to the personal statement screen.

Selection process
- Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Financial need may also be considered, especially where the award of a Scholarship will be key for enabling a student to take up the offer of a place on our MSc programme.
- Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first-class honours degree or its overseas equivalent. Other Info Important Point- There are many reasons why the system may indicate that you are ineligible to apply. Here are a few of the most common:
- The scholarship is only available to applicants and you have already started your degree programme.
- Incorrect start date – generally the academic year for scholarships runs from August to July. If you have applied to begin your programme of study earlier than August then you would not be eligible to apply.
- Ineligible programme of study: please check the eligibility criteria carefully as some programmes are excluded from particular scholarships.
- Your chosen School or College is not participating in the scheme.
