Birmingham Law School is offering scholarships for select international students across all of our LLB degrees. Eligibility

To be eligible for the LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarships, candidates must:

  1. Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
  2. Have applied for, and received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice in UCAS for a full-time undergraduate programme at Birmingham Law School starting September. You must be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at Birmingham's UK campus.
  3. Not already registered and studying on a programme at the University of Birmingham in the UK.
  4. Be self-funding and have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
  5. Accept an offer from the University of Birmingham for a programme within Birmingham Law School by the deadline. This scholarship is open to students classified as Overseas for fee purposes who have applied for one of the following courses-
  6. LLB Law
  7. LLB in Criminology
  8. LLB International Law and Globalisation
  9. LLB with Business
  10. LLB for Graduates
  11. LLB with French Law
  12. LLB with German Law Students in receipt of support from other funding bodies which wholly cover their tuition are not eligible.

Stated amount: 331,185 This scholarship is valued at £3, 000 (INR 3, 31, 185) per year of study and is awarded as a tuition fee contribution paid directly to the Law School on behalf of the student.​​​​​​​ No. Of Scholarship- 10

Application

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. Applicants are required to complete the LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarship application forms. For all undergraduate courses at Birmingham, you apply online through UCAS. The UCAS website has lots of information and advice about the process. Top tips for your UCAS application

  1. The University of Birmingham’s UCAS campus code number is B32.
  2. Check the application deadline for your chosen course as they aren’t all the same. This will make sure that your application reaches us in time to be considered.
  3. A ‘firm choice’ is your first choice, and an ‘insurance choice’ is your backup.

Selection process

  1. First All the application forms will be evaluated.
  2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
  3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities. Other Info Terms and Conditions
  4. £3, 000 (INR 3, 31, 185)per annum will be awarded to successful applicants. Scholarships are not paid directly to successful applicants but will take the form of a fee reduction at the beginning of the programme.
  5. To retain the scholarship students must gain a minimum of a 2:1 (60%+) in each year of study. Should these grades not be achieved, the scholarship will be withdrawn for the remainder of the programme.
  6. Students on the Law with French Law or Law with German Law programmes will receive scholarship payments in years 1, 2 and 4 assuming all conditions are met.
  7. Scholarships are available to all privately funded international students categorised as overseas for fees purposes.
  8. Scholarships are only available for students beginning their programme in September and cannot be deferred.
  9. Students in receipt of support from other funding bodies which wholly cover their tuition are not eligible.
  10. Decisions will be announced by late July and the scholarships will be awarded upon the students’ enrolment in September.
  11. Candidates must have submitted the scholarship application form by the scholarship deadline to be considered for the award.
  12. In accepting and securing this scholarship, awardees are expected to support the University, to a reasonable extent, by providing profiles testimonials and engaging in ambassadorial activities if requested by the University.
