The University of Birmingham is offering a major new scholarship for international students, the Global Masters Scholarship, an award of £2,000 to provide support for you to study at the University of Birmingham. Birmingham has a proud heritage of removing barriers to education to enable the most academically talented students to fulfil their potential in learning and education. This award is available to all international students from a selection of countries who are seeking to study a taught Masters degree at Birmingham in the current academic year. Eligibility

All taught Masters's programs are eligible for this scholarship, with the exception of programs in the Birmingham Business School, for which there are separate MSc and MBA scholarships on offer, and Computer Science programs. A full list of available scholarships can be found on the Postgraduate Scholarship and Funding Database. In order to be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements. Candidates must:

  1. Have received, and accepted, an offer of admission for a taught Masters degree at the University of Birmingham UK Campus to study in the current academic year.
  2. Be classed as ‘domiciled’ in one of the listed eligible countries.
  3. Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes.
  4. Start their studies at the University in September/ October on a course delivered on the University of Birmingham UK campus.
  5. Have paid the standard £2, 000 (INR 2, 21, 304) Admissions deposit. Students in receipt of a full scholarship or sponsorship covering full tuition fees from an alternative internal or external source are not eligible for this scholarship. Those with other partial awards may be able to conjoin this scholarship with other scholarships.

In keeping with this tradition we are proud to be launching the Global Masters Scholarship to attract and support the most academically talented international students from across the world to our Masters degrees during the current academic year. Value of Award: £2, 000 (INR 2, 21, 304) per scholarship. Scholarships are limited.

Application

Admissions deposit- £2, 000 (INR 2, 21, 304)​​​​​​​ This scholarship will be automatically offered to applicants who meet the criteria outlined above. To accept the scholarship you will need to formally accept the offer you receive from the University’s Admissions Office, by the deadline stated on your offer. You can do this via the postgraduate portal. To fully secure the scholarship, you will also be required to pay the standard £2, 000 (INR 2, 21, 304) admissions deposit by the deadline set by the Admissions Office in your offer letter. Selection process

  1. First All the application forms will be evaluated.
  2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
  3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities.
  4. Successful candidates will be formally notified via email.
  5. Regrettably, owing to the volume of applications received, the team will only be contacting those who have been successfully selected. Other Info Important Point-
  6. If you decide to defer your programme start date to September next year, you will no longer be eligible as the scholarship is only available for programmes starting in September current year.
  7. Students seeking to study on a course solely delivered as a ‘distance learning’ programme are not eligible for this scholarship.
  8. Students applying for programmes in the Birmingham Business School are not eligible for this scholarship but are eligible for other separate MSc and MBA scholarships offered by the Business School.
  9. Postgraduate programmes including MPhil, MRes, MMus, and MLit are not eligible. PGDip and PGCert programs are also not eligible.
  10. Undergraduate degree programmes including the MBChB, MEng, MSci, and MPharm undergraduate programmes are not eligible.
  11. Students studying at the University of Birmingham Dubai campus are not eligible for this scholarship.
