Eligibility
Typical scholarship recipients rank in the top 5 percent of the class, have a rigorous academic program with honors and advanced placement courses, and have an outstanding record of extracurricular activities and score near the top of the range in a college admission test.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 83,000 The scholarships cover full tuition and are renewable for four years (five years for students pursuing the five-year accredited professional program track in Architecture) provided the student maintains at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and continuous primary undergraduate enrollment in a Newcomb-Tulane College school. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to those that cover our full tuition or even full cost of attendance. Typical recipients over the last 3 years have had an ACT of 33+, an SAT score of 1500+, and/or a core, unweighted GPA of 3.7+, in addition to well-crafted scholarship applications. Test scores are not required to be considered for the Deans’ Honor Scholarship.
Application
No Separate Application Fee or Form is required to get this scholarship. All applicants are considered for partial merit scholarship by completing the Common Application for admission. To be considered for all scholarships, however, you should complete the following 5 steps as we may evaluate both your need and merit in our awarding process: 5 Steps for Scholarship Consideration
- Complete the Common Application for admission.
- Complete the CSS Profile by our financial aid deadlines (international students who are non-U.S. citizens should also complete Tulane’s Declaration & Certification of Finances);
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (if you are a U.S. citizen or eligible resident)
- Submit supporting documentation when requested by Office of Financial Aid;
- Complete the Tulane Scholarship Application, audition, or portfolio on your Green Wave Portal by December 5th. In order to be eligible for the Deans' Honor Scholarship, you must submit your application for admission and all supporting documents as well as an application for the scholarship according to deadlines and criteria provided on the Tulane Undergraduate Admission website.
Selection process
Scholarships is awarded on the basis of both need and merit (academic, athletic, or talent) and have renewable criteria. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to those that cover our full tuition or even full cost of attendance.
