TRIPURA PRE MATRIC ST STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

1. Student should belong to Scheduled Tribe.
2. Her/his Parents’/Guardian’s income should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
3. She / he should not be getting any other Centrally-funded Pre-Matric Scholarship.
4. She/ he should be a regular, full time student studying in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
5. Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, she / he would not get scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.

No Application Fee will be charged.

1. This Notification should be brought to the notice of all eligible students by all the respective SubDivisional Welfare Officers/ District Education Officers/ Head of the Institutions.
2. Eligible students shall submit their applications to their concerned Institutions as per prescribed format.
3. Schools that have not been on-boarded on Beneficiary Management Ecosystem are requested to kindly contact with concerned District Education Office.
4. All the Institute Nodal Officers (INO) of Govt./Govt. Aided/Private Institutes are requested to submit the students’ application through Web Application portal https://bms.tripura.gov.in. The link of the same will be available at the Departmental website of Tribal Welfare Department (https://twd.tripura.gov.in/).
5. Concerned INOs will be given honorarium for every approved application @ Rs.10 (Rupees Ten).
6. All applications are to be submitted as per eligibility criteria of the scheme.
7. All District Nodal Officers (DNOs) are also requested to minutely verify, defect, reject or approve applications at least once a week.
8. The disbursement of scholarship will be done simultaneously at least once in 2(two) weeks. Error free genuine application submitted earlier shall be sanctioned at the earliest.
9. Documents required for upload: i) Student Passport size photo (with School Uniform). ii) ST Certificate. iii) Previous Class Marksheet. iv) Income certificate (only for private schools) of annual family income less than Rs. 2.50 lakh.
10. Important Information required for validation of application. i) Ration Card No. of family. (Beneficiary name must be enrolled in same Ration Card). ii) Bank Account number of the beneficiary.

1. All eligible Scheduled Tribe candidates will be given scholarships as prescribed in this scheme
2. Candidates belonging to one State but studying in another State will be awarded scholarships by the State to which they belong and will submit their applications to the competent authority in that State.
