TATA STEEL MILLENNIUM SCHOLARSHIP

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

1. Sons/Daughters/Spouses of all existing workers and supervisors of the Company can get Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship.
2. Sons/daughters/spouses of superannuated workers, officers, and supervisors of the company including those separated under ESS/MSS/EFBS/FBS.
3. Sons/daughters/spouses of workers and supervisors of Tata Steel who were transfer on the rolls of JUSCO.
4. The aforementioned candidates who get admission to the full-time and regular courses are entitled to apply for Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship.
5. The candidates who have correspondence courses are not eligible to apply for Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship.
6. From the total 10 percent of seats are put aside or reserved for SC/ST candidates in each category of the scholarship scheme.
7. A minimum 60% mark is required under General Category and 50% marks for SC/ST students in their last qualifying examination for being eligible to consider for the Scholarship.
8. Minimum of 50% marks or equivalent must secure for awarding a scholarship for the next installment in all the courses of studies by the student.
9. A maximum of 2 (two) scholarships will award to the wards of the employee/ex-employee under this Tata Steel Millennium Scholarship.

Stated amount: 50,000 TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS: CATEGORY– A: Scholarships under this category are awarded to candidates who have secured admission in the institutions as specified in Annexure-I, who will be entitled to a scholarship of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) per annum. This will include students studying MBBS (4.5 yrs.) in all State, Private & Central Government Medical Colleges admission through NEET. No Internship payment will be given to candidates studying the MBBS Course. The number of scholarships under category A is limited to a maximum of 120 (80 seats for wards of workers and supervisors general candidates, 20 seats for wards of officers general candidates, and 20 seats for wards where employee has availed Sunhere Bhavishya Ki Yojana (SBKY) – 2.0). CATEGORY– B: No postal course will be considered for the scholarship. Scholarships under this category are awarded to candidates who have secured admission in any of the professional courses in Institutions mentioned below: Total Number of Scholarship= 240 (130 for Boys & Girls, 30 for Girls only, 40 forwards of officers, and 40 seats for wards where employee has availed Sunhere Bhavishya Ki Yojana (SBKY) – 2.0) under category-B. Scholarship amount Rs. 24,000/- (Rupees twenty-four thousand) per annum Discipline

1. Integrated degree courses in Medicine or Engineering (any branch), including extension centers of BITS Pilani and BIT-Mesra.
2. Postgraduate studies in Engineering, Medicine, Computer Sciences, Business Management, Personnel Management, Agriculture Science, Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, Information Technology, B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Management.
3. Diploma course in any branch of Engineering.
4. Degree or full-time diploma courses in Hotel Management & Catering and Fashion Technology.
5. Five year Degree Course in Law, Five years of integrated courses in Law
6. Degree course in Journalism
7. Courses and Institutes Scholarships under the category A & B as mentioned above are also awarded to Candidates perusing full-time graduation /Post-graduation degree courses from a recognized University/ Institute outside India. The Millennium Scholarship Committee will decide on the eligibility of the university/ institute Outside India and the category (A or B) for awarding the Millennium Scholarship. Institutions Admission for the above disciplines should be secured at only those colleges/institutions that meet the following criteria:

9. Are autonomous Institutions or deemed Universities with official recognition from bodies such as AICTE and which have an all-India competitive selection procedure?
10. For studies in Hotel Management & Catering and Fashion Technology, a campus of the National College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM & CT) or institutions of Catering Management set up by the Taj Group, the Oberoi Group, ITC Welcome Group and ITDC Group of Hotels would be considered.
11. Full-time Graduation/post-graduation degree courses from a recognized University /Institute outside India. AWARD FOR STUDENTS OF R D TATA TECHNICAL INSTITUTE Five top overall rank holders of RD Tata Technical Institute, from each of the four disciplines will be awarded Rs.10,000/- (Rs. Ten Thousand only) on a one-time basis payment as per their Final year annual examination result. A list of such meritorious students will be procured from the Institute directly. No application from an individual is required under this category. The total number of scholarships is 360.

1. First All the application forms will be evaluated.
2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarships.

4. All the applications received will place before a committee. This committee will decide whether the scholarship should give to a candidate or not.
5. The decision of the committee will be final.
6. Candidates getting scholarships from any other college/ institute will not consider for Tata Millennium Scholarship 2020.
7. To get the scholarship, the students should have scored at least 60% marks in their last qualifying exam (50% for SC/ ST candidates).
8. Students getting admission by clearing an All India-level selection process will consider for a scholarship. To prove the same, the candidates should attach a copy of the admit card of the entrance exam.
