TATA SCHOLARSHIP - CORNELL UNIVERSITY

To receive the undergraduate scholarship, a recipient must:

1. Be a citizen of India and have attended secondary school in India;
2. Be offered admission to Cornell as an undergraduate student;
3. Be eligible for need-based financial aid. Preference will be given to qualified students accepted to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning; the College of Engineering; the Applied Economics and Management major in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business; and majors across colleges in the biological sciences, physical sciences, and other “hard” sciences, as well as the social sciences.

2. Sponsoring 20 Indian Students Each Year: Tata Scholarships are awarded to 20 Indian students each year, giving them the opportunity to study at Cornell.
3. Four-Year Degree Award: As a need-based scholarship, this ensures that recipients will receive funding throughout their first four-year degree.
4. Funding in eight semesters for longer programmes: For programs that require enrollment in ten semesters, like B.Arch, funding is offered in eight semesters.

Application Fees- $80 (INR 6, 713) Application Fee or Fee Waiver. Undergraduate applicants will be eligible for consideration for the Tata Scholarship if they have completed the admission application and have applied for financial aid. All undergraduate applicants must apply for financial aid by completing the financial aid application process for international students. As long as Tata Scholars have financial need, Cornell is committed to providing them with Tata Scholarship funding. With the exception of the five-year program in architecture, which requires ten semesters of full-time enrollment, Cornell will provide up to eight semesters of funding.
