SWACHHTA SAARTHI FELLOWSHIP

1. School students from 9th to 12th standards engaged in waste management community work come under Category A.
2. College students from College/University/Institutions - UG, PG & Research students engaged in waste management community work come under Category-B.
3. Citizens working in the community and through Self Help Groups (SHGs), municipal or sanitary workers working beyond the specifications of their job requirements/descriptions come under Category-C. A maximum of 2 citizens from the same SHG can apply.

Stated amount: 2,000

1. In category A, Swachta Saarthis will receive Rs. 500/- per month for 1 year.
2. In category B, Swachta Saarthis will receive Rs. 1,000/- per month for 1 year.

Basic Screening - Shortlisting of applications. Assessment of Information Shared - Assessment of information provided in the application form. Result Announcement - An expert committee will evaluate the proposal, and the successful proposals will be provided funding for one year. Selection Criteria

1. Relevance of the work already done by the applicants.
2. Innovative solutions implemented in their activities.
3. Practicality for replication of the activities undertaken..
4. Engagement of the peers/community.
5. Proposed action plan for a year.

7. The SSF programme has demonstrated that citizens, young and old, have great interest and enthusiasm for working toward waste management.
8. Numerous fellows have developed new ideas into products, prototypes, and technological innovations. Many of these fellows are eager to take their ideas further towards building their start-ups.
9. The fellows have demonstrated their entrepreneurial acumen by involving community workers, especially underprivileged people, and generating employment for them.
10. The SSFs have been successful in encouraging their peers and the community to manage their waste by raising awareness through a variety of sensitization campaigns.
11. The fellows have conducted their proposed activities quite actively and consider themselves the torchbearers of this programme because of this sensitisation through the award of the fellowship.
12. The most admirable feature of the programme is the fellows' dedication to transforming "Waste to Wealth" through their modest but honest activities.
