SOF NATIONAL CYBER OLYMPIAD (NCO)
Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is a Registered Organization popularizing competition and assisting the development of competitive spirit among school children. It is providing scholarships to the students of class 1st - 10th. National Cyber Olympiad (NCO) is a single level exam. SOF does not encourage individual participation. Students have to register through their schools only. Schools may send registrations by 30 days before the chosen date of exam date. Eligibility
- Students of classes 1st to 10th are eligible to appear for the SOF NCO. There is no other eligibility criterion like minimum marks.
- SOF NCO is a single-level exam.

Application
Schools in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan & Nepal pay to SOF a registration fee of Rs 125 (including GST) per student / Olympiad towards cost of examination. Schools may charge an additional Rs 25 per student towards honorarium of incharge, remuneration to teachers to teach and guide, and for other expenses. No fee is payable for students suffering from any major physical disability, or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defense operations.
- Students should register through their respective schools only. Individual registrations by students are not accepted. A minimum of 5 students need to be registered from each school for SOF NCO.
- Principals/teachers may please note that any school can be registered as a center for SOF NCO Level
- No fee is required from the institution to become a registered examination centre.
- A prospectus containing the Registration forms are sent to all schools registered with SOF. Schools not registered may also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@sofworld.org or by calling 0124-4951200. Schools must return the registration forms to SOF, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.
Selection process
The SOF National Cyber Olympiad is a single level exam. The test is organized in the respective schools of the participants during school hours: 1. The level 1 competition is a test of 60 minutes duration comprising 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 1 to class 4 and 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions for class 5 to class 12. 2. SOF NCO is conducted on three dates for Level 1. Each school may select a date for conducting the SOF NCO as per its convenience. There are separate question papers for each class. Change of date for conducting the SOF NCO is not permitted. 3. The medium of the test is English. 4. CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and State Board syllabi are followed for setting the test papers. 5. The exam is conducted during school hours. Other Info Objectives of NCO In light of the global advance in information technology, the National Cyber Olympiad 2023-24 has been announced to usher in a new era for cyber athletes and create a global platform for them to compete and excel. It is also envisioned to be an opportunity for all students across the country and around the world to participate in this grand event through research, training, and testing. Here are some primary objectives: To play a significant role in the development of cyber seniors in the country. To inspire students to participate in the National Cyber Olympiad 2023-24 and lead them towards a future of excellence. To promote computer education by training and testing students through the National Cyber Olympiad 2023-24. Special focus will be given to providing scholarships for all deserving students from low-income families. To organise and conduct the National Cyber Olympiad 2023-24 to encourage the participants and to help build the cybersports culture. To contribute towards national and international cybersports by organising National Cyber Olympiad 2023-24 and enhancing cyber opportunities for youth. To develop a research program on governing rules of cyber competition. Special focus will be given on the legal aspects of cyber competition, grooming young brains to excel at an international level and an online platform for students as well as school authorities for welfare activities. To organize the event in line with the scientific principles of excellence, excellence in administration, excellence in sports, excellence in cyber sports. To prepare for the event by creating awareness about it and providing necessary equipment and facilities for testing. To invite world-class universities to participate in this event. Students can go through the course books to launch the readiness at a fundamental level. They can likewise allude to Cyber Olympiad books accessible for NSO or join a training place to accomplish a decent position in National Cyber Olympiad 2023-24.
