Eligibility
- Only those candidates who belong to the specified Scheduled Caste in respect of the State/Union Territory where the applicant resides.
- Who have passed the Matriculation or Higher Secondary or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education.
- Students Parent/Guardian's income should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 240
- Reader Allowance: - Group I, II - Rs. 240 /- per month, Group III - Rs. 200 /- per month, Group IV - Rs. 160 /- per month for blind students.
- Transport Allowance: - Rs. 160 /- per month for Leprosy Cured students.
- Special Pay: - Rs. 160 /- per month for orthopedically handicapped students.
- Escort Allowance: - Rs. 160 /- per month for Leprosy Cured students.

Selection process
Candidates belonging to one state but studying in another state will be awarded scholarship by the state where they reside and they will submit their applications to the competent authority in that state only.
