SBIF Asha Scholarship Program is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under its education vertical - Integrated Learning Mission (ILM), to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India to ensure continuity of their education. SBI Foundation extends its benevolent reach to students having immense potential but are held back by the limited means to realise their educational dreams. This is why the foundation launches scholarship schemes every year. Their initiative is not just about providing funds but fostering a sense of inclusivity and equal opportunity among all students. Selection process
The selection of scholars for the ‘SBIF Asha Scholarship Program’ will be made on the basis of their academic merit and financial background. It involves a multi-stage process as detailed below –
- Initial shortlisting of applications based on their academic merit and financial background.
- Telephonic interview of shortlisted candidates followed by document verification for final selection. Other Info Important Information-
- Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.
- 50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants.
- Preference will be given to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.
