Sanskriti Foundation is inviting the following fellowships in the field of music. Sanskriti Pratishthan selects eminent artists for the Pt Vasant Thakar Memorial Fellowship in Indian Classical Music – well-established and highly talented classical music artists, who are richly deserving of a wider recognition as both gurus and performers. Mani Mann Fellowship - in Hindustani Classical Music is awarded to young musicians to study and learn under the tutelage of an acclaimed guru of Indian Classical Music. Objective This Fellowship has been instituted to encourage promising young artists to advance in their field. Eligibility
1. The Fellowship is only open to Indian Nationals in the age group of 25 to 40. 2. While this fellowship especially encourages women applicants, all proposals that further the objectives of the program are welcome. The applicant must hold a degree/diploma from a recognized university or institution in the field and/or the candidate should have at least ten years of initial training in Indian classical music. The fellow would be required to have given at least 2-3 solo performances to his/her credit in recognized forums. 3. The candidate will be required to take guidance from another senior guru and enhance the existing style. It would be a residency program for a period of three months, which can be spread over a period of one year. This will require the candidate to take consent from his/her current guru and the guru he/she would want to go to.

Stated amount: 100,000
- The duration of the Fellowship will be ten months. The grant of Rs. 1, 00, 000 will be given in two installments. The first installment of Rs 50, 000/- will be given at the commencement of the fellowship program.
- The second installment will be given after the submission of the complete project report when the fellow may be requested to give a recital. No. of scholarships is subject to availability, please visit official website.

Selection process
- First All the application form will be evaluated.
- After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities. Other Info Terms and Condition The duration of the Fellowship will be one year. The grant of Rs. 1, 00, 000 will be given in two phases; the first installment at the commencement of the award and the second installment after the submission of your complete project report when the candidate may be requested to give a vocal recital. A short mid-term progress report will be required. Agreement The applicant will have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Pratishthan pertaining to a regular flow of work during the Fellowship period. The candidate should not be holding another Fellowship or working on any other project at the same time.
