Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Hold a conditional/unconditional offer for a masters degree program within the Department of History at Royal Holloway.
- Apply for the scholarship through the applicant portal using the Royal Holloway online scholarship application form.
- Be pursuing or have completed a First Class Honours Degree from NAAC grade A institution with more than 65% of marks (CGPA 6.5+) or NAAC grade B institution with more than 70% marks (CGPA 7.0).
Award & availability
Stated amount: 877,160
- Each scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee reduction of £7, 900 (INR 8, 77, 160).
- For full-time students, the tuition fee reduction is only available for one year of study. No additional payment is offered in any following years if the duration of the course is longer than one year. For part-time students, this will be split over two years. No. Of Scholarship- 01
Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. You must apply via our online system Royal Holloway Direct, where you will be able to complete your statement and upload any required documents including your grades transcript. You must provide a supporting statement of no longer than 500 words which should include:
- Academic achievements you are particularly proud of
- Why have you chosen to do the degree you have applied for
- How will you use the MA in your future research and career path and how will the scholarship help you achieve it? Your statement will be judged on how effectively and convincingly you respond to the above. Applications which exceed the word count will automatically be rejected. Selection process
- Our scholarships are awarded based on your written statement and/or your predicted grades at A-level or equivalent.
- All applications are scored by a panel. The applications which receive the highest scores are awarded the scholarships. Other Info Terms and Conditions-
- It is the responsibility of students to ensure that they provide up-to-date bank details to the University so as to allow making scholarship payments on time.
- All the cash awards will be paid into a UK bank account only.
- The scholarship payment cannot be made into the account of another person.
- Any tuition fee reductions will be applied automatically by Royal Holloway.
- Royal Holloway reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship from any scholar who is found to have misled Royal Holloway about any aspect of their eligibility and to seek repayment of any monies already paid.
- Scholars may be asked to participate in occasional promotional activities and to be interviewed, photographed, and/or filmed for promotional purposes and prior consent of the scholars will be requested for this.
- The decision of the scholarship selection committee is final and scholarship applicants have no right of appeal against the decision not to offer a scholarship.
