Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Must hold an Ontario Scholarship.
  2. Beginning a full-time research-based postgraduate degree program at the University of Waterloo.
  3. Be a Canadian resident or international student with a study permit visa.

Award & availability

Stated amount: 418,900 Two or more scholarships valued at $5,000 (4,18,900 Rs.) will be awarded annually to full-time University of Waterloo graduate students in the Faculty of Engineering to students conducting research in materials or material shaping in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, who hold an Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS). Two or more scholarships valued at $5,000 (4,18,900 Rs.) will be awarded annually.

Application

No Separate Application Fee for Scholarship The University of Waterloo Robbert Hartog Scholarship does not require any separate application form. Eligible applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship.

Selection process

  1. Recipients of the Robbert Hartog Scholarship are shortlisted and selected on the basis of academic merit only.
  2. The final decision on the scholarship applications is made by the director of the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.
