1. To improve the level of education among the poor SC students studying in Class I to X a scheme of Pre Matric Scholarship for the benefit of children belong to weaker section among SCs. 2. Eligibility
- The candidate must be studying in Class I to X.
- The annual income of the student’s parents/guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
- The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand and must be studying in a recognized school in the state.
- The applicant must ensure that his/her name in the form is not different from the name in his/her Aadhaar and bank account.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 3,500
- Class I to V - Rs. 600 /- per annum.
- Class VI to VIII - Rs. 720 /- per annum.
- Class IX to X ( Day Scholar) - Rs. 1500 /- per annum.

Selection process
The number of scholarships available for SCs in a year is fixed and limited, so it is necessary to set priority for selection. Poverty is to be given importance in place of marks in selection (The applicant is required to submit an income certificate and in case of equal income, the qualification will be generated from the applicant's 'date of birth' criteria).
