The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund (IPS) has been in operation since 1949. Believing that education is fundamental to global peace and understanding, members of the P.E.O. Eligibility
A woman is eligible for consideration for an International Peace Scholarship if she: a. Is a woman outside the United States and Canada who is seeking an advanced degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada; b. Will return to her home country to utilize her education to make a positive impact and foster global peace. c. Has a full year of coursework remaining and is enrolled and in residence in the U.S. or Canada for the entire school year; or d. Is an international student attending Cottey College Please note: a. Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants. b. A student who is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada is not eligible. A student with residency for tax purposes only is permitted. c. Scholarships are not given for online courses, research, internships or for practical training if not combined with coursework.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 1,049,178 The maximum amount awarded to a student is $12,500 (Rs. 10,49,178.12/-). Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs. Number of Scholarship is the subject to availability, for more please visit official website.
Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program.
- If you meet the eligibility requirements, please fill out an online eligibility form. The eligibility period is from September to December every year. The form will be posted to this page in September.
- Announcement of awards is made in May. See the full IPS Application Calendar dates for the current term of study.
Selection process
- First All the application form will be evaluated.
- After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities. Other Info The scholarship is based upon demonstrated need; however, the award is not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses. At the time of application, the applicant is required to indicate additional financial resources adequate to meet her estimated expenses. Examples of additional resources are personal and family funds, tuition waivers, work, scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants and other scholarships. The maximum amount awarded to a student is $12,500 (Rs. 10,49,178.12/-). Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs.
