Selection process

  2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.

  4. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Oil India Limited (OIL) is governed by its Social Vision “OIL is a Responsible Corporate Citizen deeply committed to socio-economic development in its areas of operation”, its policies on CSR and Sustainable Development, the DPE Guidelines, 2013, on CSR & Sustainability for the CPSEs; and the Companies Act, 2013 which came into effect from 1st April, 2014.
  5. As specified under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013, OIL’s CSR projects and programmes are focused on several key thrust areas such as Healthcare, Drinking Water & Sanitation, Education, Sustainable Livelihood, Capacity Building and Empowerment of Women, Skill Development, Rural Sports, Environment Sustainability, Augmentation of Rural Infrastructure, etc. The CSR initiatives are implemented primarily in the operational areas of the Company in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
  6. As per Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, every company, private limited or public limited, which either has a net worth of Rs 500 crore or a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore or net profit of Rs 5 crore, needs to spend at least 2% of its average net profit for the immediately preceding three financial years on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. OIL has been spending over 2% of the Average Net Profit of three preceding financial years on its CSR initiatives. CSR expenditure of OIL of last 4 financial years, since the Companies Act, 2013 came into force from 1st April, 2014,
