NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARDS (NEA)

1. Applications are invited for the National Entrepreneurship Awards by Govt of India. Nominations for the NEA awards will be invited by self-nomination apart from nominations. 2. As an important step to catalyze a cultural shift in youth for entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has instituted the National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) to recognize and honour outstanding young first-generation Entrepreneurs and their Ecosystem Builders for their outstanding contribution in entrepreneurship development. 3. The NEA seeks the participation of Young Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Builders in the National Entrepreneurship Awards from all across India. It seeks to instil and entrench the entrepreneurial attitude among future generations and the Youth of India. Awards category 1. Enterprise Awards 2. Ecosystem Builder Awards Enterprise Awards There are 3 award categories, based on the nature and scale of the business. The 3 categories broadly are : A1: Initial Investment of the enterprise should not exceed more than 1 lakh A2: Initial investment of the enterprise should be greater than Rs. 1 Lakh but should not exceed Rs. 10 Lakh A3: Initial Investment of the Enterprise has to be above Rs. 10 Lakhs to Rs. 1 Crore Ecosystem Builder Awards There are 6 categories for the award: 1. Entrepreneurship Development Institutes/Organisations: Refers to Institutes/ organizations teaching, training and offering courses on entrepreneurship development. There is one (1) award under this category. 2. Incubation Centres: Refers to Institutes/organizations providing incubation, mentorship and handholding support. There are two (2) awards under this category, one for Incubation Centres in the Public Sector and one for Incubation Centres in the Private Sector 3. Mentors: Refers to educationists, advisors, and consultants working towards entrepreneurship development. There are two (2) awards under this category, one for Mentors in the Public Sector and one for Mentors in the Private Sector. 4. Promoters of Rural Producer Enterprises: Refers to institutions/organizations or individuals directly involved in the promotion of farmer producer companies/cooperatives or SHG enterprises through mentoring and providing soft skill support such as development of organisational structure, training on management skills, conflict resolutions, etc. Such institutions/organisations may be governmental, non-governmental, private institutions or persons working in their individual capacity. Eligibility

Any Indian national working in the Indian Territory and who fits the eligibility criteria can apply for the awards. Entrepreneurs who are being nominated should be up to the age of 40 years as of April 1st. No separate age relaxation will be given to candidates from SC, ST, and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories. Participation in the National Entrepreneurship Awards is voluntary. Stated amount: 1,000,000 The Enterprise Awards include a trophy, a certificate, and a cash award of Rs. 5 Lakhs presented to the winning enterprise. The Ecosystem Builder Awards comprise a trophy, a certificate, and a cash award of Rs. 10 Lakhs for institutions and Rs. 5 Lakhs for individuals who have made significant contributions in fostering the ecosystem. Selection process

  1. First All the application form will be evaluated.
  2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
