MEDHAVI NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (SAKSHAM) HRDM
MEDHAVI national scholarship scheme invites applications for the ‘SAKSHAM scholarship examination. Under this exam, scholarships will be awarded solely on a MERIT basis, to candidates who qualify for the prescribed exam. Medhavi National Scholarship Program under Human Resources & Development Mission (HRDM) is a national scholarship program, for youth from all parts of India, which aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies or preparation for the job. Eligibility
The students who have cleared the intermediate, undergraduation, postgraduation or diploma course can apply, but the minimum qualification required is class X. In addition, they should clear their examination from a board recognised by the central or state government of India. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- The candidate should have passed class X, XII, diploma, undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree.
- They should be between 16 to 40 years of age.
- They must be Indian citizens or migrants from eligible countries. Eligible Citizenship The candidates who are migrants from the following countries are eligible to apply for the medhavi national scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM:
- They can be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1st, 1962, are eligible to apply for the medhavi national scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM.
- Indian origin candidates migrated from Pakistan (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Vietnam, Zambia, Zaire, and Ethiopia.
- The candidates from the above countries should have a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 6,000 The organisers may increase or decrease the number of scholarships in a year subject to the applications received and the merit list. They will make the final decision in this regard. The organisers will disburse the monthly scholarships in two instalments. The rewards of the Medhavi national scholarship scheme (Saksham) HRDM are as follows:
- Over 686 students will receive a type A scholarship of INR 6,000 in the first month and INR 6,000 in the second month.
- 309 students will receive a type B scholarship of INR 3,000 in the first month and INR 3,000 in the second month.
- 243 students will receive the type C scholarship of INR 1,500 in the first month and INR 1,500 in the second month.
- The remaining candidates who score a minimum of 35% marks and do not come under the merit list will receive INR 300 as a refund of the registration fee. It will be a one-time payment. There are three types of scholarship categorised based on the marks obtained by the students in the medhavi national scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM examination. They are type A, B and C. The management will grant the medhavi national scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM to the top 1,238 scorers only, and the remaining students will receive a refund of their registration fee. Tabulated below are types of medhavi national scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM. Application
A registration fee of Rs.300/- for all category (UNRESERVED/OBC/SC/ST) applicants need to be paid for the online test; based on the online test, merit will be prepared. The candidates must read the instructions thoroughly before applying for the scholarship. Eligible candidates can only register for the Medhavi National scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM exam through the Medhavi Android application. The organisers will not accept applications made through any other mode. The candidates should submit the correct email address while applying for the scholarship, as the management will make further correspondence only through the mail. Given below is the stepwise procedure to apply for the examination: Step 1 - The candidates should download the medhavi android application. Step 2 - They should duly fill in the required details. Step 3 - The candidates should pay a registration fee of INR
- The fee will remain the same for all categories (i.e. general, OBC, SC and ST). Step 4 - After making the payment, they should submit the form. Step 5 - The candidates should take a snapshot of the finally submitted Online Application (OA). Note: The candidates need not send a printout of their application by post or submit them by hand. Step 6 - They will receive a confirmation mail containing their registration ID. Step 7 - Only the successful applicants should submit their bank details under the 'claim scholarship' section available on the medhavi android application. The organisers will activate the 'claim scholarship' section after the declaration of results for a limited time.
Selection process
The organisers will select the candidates solely based on the marks obtained by them in the exam. The selected candidates should provide the bank details after the declaration of the results. In the event of a tie, the authority will select the candidates by following the below methods:
- Based on the marks obtained in: a. General studies b. English c. Quantitative aptitude d. Reasoning
- Based on the time taken by the candidate to complete the exam
- Based on their class X marks
- Based on the candidate's family income
- Lucky draw (if necessary) Other Info The organisation will conduct an online exam and select the candidates based on their marks. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with negative markings. The subjects included in the medhavi national scholarship scheme (saksham) HRDM exam are as follows: Reasoning - 11 questions Quantitative aptitude - 11 questions General studies - 9 questions English - 9 questions The exam will consist of a total of 40 questions, and each question will carry one mark. The exam duration is 18 minutes, and the questions will be in English or Hindi (except for the English subject). The organisers will deduct 1/3rd of the marks assigned to a particular question for each wrong answer as a penalty. However, there will be no mark deduction if the candidates leave a question blank without an answer. The candidates can attempt the test on the medhaavi national scholarship android application. They can also take up the mock test for practice on the medhavi application. The candidates should be aware that there will be no back button to navigate to the previous questions if they want to change their answers or mark an answer. Therefore, they should be mindful while attempting each question and complete the exam within the given time. The application will automatically complete the exam after the allotted time.
