MAHARASHTRA STARTUP WEEK
The Maharashtra Startup Week is an effort to encourage, engage and enable the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. It provides startups with a platform to showcase their innovative solutions to the Government of Maharashtra. Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS), under the Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Government of Maharashtra, serves as the state's nodal agency for startups and innovation. Maharashtra Startup Week (MSW) is a dynamic initiative designed to identify, showcase, and support startups that can revolutionize governance and create large-scale impact. Startup across India can apply. Winning startups get direct Government work orders up to INR 15 lakhs each. Eligibility
- The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) must recognise the startup.
- The business should have a deployment-ready Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Startups must present products or solutions that are suitable to the Government of Maharashtra.
- Startups participating should not have won in previous Maharashtra Startup Week editions.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 1,500,000
- The best 24 are selected as winners. Winners receive work orders of up to Rs 15 lakh. From the Maharashtra State Innovation Society to pilot their solutions within different state departments. Subsequently, the startups receive support in terms of access to government machinery and mentoring from its institutional partners for a period of up to 12 months to deploy their solutions on the ground.
- The participating startups also get access to multiple other benefits such as cloud credits, access to multiple events, connect with ecosystem players such as mentors, investors, etc. The best 24 are selected as winners.

Selection process
Startups will be evaluated on the following parameters:
- Unique Value Proposition
- Leadership Team
- Social Impact
- Sustainability & Scalability
- Relevance for government
- Technology Advantage (if any) Post screening, 100 startups will be shortlisted for the pitches which will take place during the Maharashtra Startup Week. The shortlisted startups will pitch to a panel that includes relevant government department officials, industry, academia and investors. The shortlisted startups would be allowed 10 minutes to present their pitch and another 10 minutes for any Q&A. The results will be declared on the last day of the Maharashtra Startup Week.
