Chief Minister Fellowship (CMF) Program, is an initiative by the Government of Maharashtra, India. Launched by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, CMF is a drive to rope in young graduates in the administration. The fellowship aims to provide the youth an opportunity to earn valuable experience of working within the government. It is a 12-month program that offers the beneficiaries of the scheme a monthly remuneration of INR 75,000. Eligibility

  1. Appplicant should be a Permanent Resident of Maharashtra.
  2. Age of Applicant should be between 21 Years to 26 Years.
  3. Applicant should have minimum 1 Year of Experience.
  4. Applicant should have Passed Minimum Graduation with 60% Marks.
  5. Applicant should have Proficiency in Marathi , Hindi and English.

Award & availability

Stated amount: 75,000 The following benefits will be provided to fellows/ selected applicants under Maharashtra Chief Minister Fellowship Program :-

  1. Position Equivalent to Grade - A Officer will be Provided.
  2. Monthly Stipend of Rs. 70,000/- per Month.
  3. Rs. 5,000/- per Month separately will be provided for Travel and Other Expenses.
  4. Accidental Insurance Cover.
  5. Special Academic Course Certificate from IIT Mumbai or IIT Nagpur.
  6. Fellowship Completion Certificate from Maharashtra Government.
  7. Leave of 8 Days during the Period of Fellowship. List of 50 selected candidates will be published along with the waiting list of 10 candidates.

The application fee is Rs. 500/- will be deposited online.

  3. Applicant has to Register themselves first by filling basic details.

Selection process

Selection will be a two-stage process. The steps involved in the selection are listed below: Stage I Step 1: Online Test Step 2: Shortlisting of candidates Stage II Step 1: Shortlisted candidates submit their essays Step 2: Personal Interview (of shortlisted candidates who have submitted essays) Step 3: Result declaration of selected candidates Information about Online Test Nature of Online Test: It will consist of multiple choice objective-type questions. Medium: English Total Marks: 100. Each question will carry 1 mark Duration: 60 minutes Composition of the Online Test: Sr. No. Topic No. of Qs Description 1 General Awareness 50 Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Social Issues, Economics of India and Maharashtra. 2 Reasoning 10 Reasoning ability. 3 English Language 15 Sentence formation, basic grammar. 4 Marathi Language 5 Grammer, Composition 5 Information Technology 10 Windows 7, MS Office 2010, Internet. 6 Quantitative Aptitude 15 Data interpretation, arithmetic, algebra, basic geometry. Shortlisting Candidates for Stage II: 1. The total marks shall be out of 100. 2. Top 150 candidates shall be called for interviews. 3. Shortlisted candidates shall submit 1 audio-visual essay and 2 written essays. The Essays can be in Marathi, Hindi or English. 4. Topics of essays will be conveyed to shortlisted candidates via email and website. 5. Shortlisted candidates submitting all 3 essays will be called for personal interview. Shortlisted candidates not submitting essays will not be eligible to appear for an interview. Final Selection: 1. Following marking system will be applied for the final selection of the Fellows - Online Test marks out of 100 will be converted to out of 15 marks + Essays 30 marks + interview 50 marks + relevant post-graduation degree or professional degree or diploma 5 marks. 2. List of 50 selected candidates will be published along with the waiting list of 10 candidates. 3. Vacancies created due to the failure of selected candidates to accept the offer letter within the stipulated time will be filled from the waiting list. Please Note: 1. The candidate invited for an interview should bring along with him/her one photocopy each and the original copies of all mark sheets, experience letters and other credentials along with the original copy of the proof of identity. 2. The date and time of the interview shall be communicated to shortlisted candidates through email. 3. No travel expenses made for attending the interview shall be reimbursed.
