MACQUARIE INDIAN PARTNER ARTS SCHOLARSHIP

The Indian Partner Arts Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded by Macquarie University to students who are citizens of India. Students planning to pursue a postgraduate degree under the Faculty of Arts at the university are eligible for this scholarship. 1. Offered by the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University. 2. Applicable only for international Indian students from: a. St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. b. Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai c. Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi. 4. The scholarship amount will cover 50% of the total tuition fee of the student. 5. Interested students should contact the International Office at their undergraduate institutes to make a request to be nominated for the scholarship. Students applying for the Indian Partner Arts Scholarship must complete their applications for admission to Macquarie University and also accept the admission offer letter.

Eligibility

Indian Partner Arts Scholarship is eligible for graduates of three premier institutes in India. Additionally, interested candidates need to meet the following criteria: 1. Must be a citizen of India. 2. Be a recent graduate or a current student of- a. St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. b. Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi. c. Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. 3. Have a WAM equivalent of 65. 4. Meet all the academic and English Proficiency requirements for Macquarie University postgraduate degree. 5. Student should take on a full-time program. Note : Must not have received a scholarship or sponsorship from Macquarie University or another organisation for the degree (unless stated otherwise by the Scholarship Committee).

Stated amount: Not Available Indian Partner Arts Scholarship is awarded to Indian students who have received an undergraduate degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women (New Delhi), St. Xavier’s College (Kolkata) or Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Mumbai). Covering 50% of the tuition cost at the Macquarie University, the scholarship helps students enrolled in a postgraduate degree under the Faculty of Arts. The students who receive the Indian Partner Arts Scholarship should bear in mind certain rules and regulations that they are expected to comply with during their study.

  1. Enrolment and commencement of the study should be done in accordance with the dates mentioned in the Letter of Offer. Delayed admission is not allowed.
  2. A full-time course load of 8 standard units should be taken up by the student in every academic year.
  3. The scholarship is applicable for on-campus study only.
  4. If a student leaves the program without graduating from the program, he/she might be held responsible for returning the scholarship amount received. The agreement stipulates that each participating institute will offer two scholarships to help graduates from these Indian institutes continue their postgraduate education at Macquarie University. Students who receive this award are additionally allowed to find part-time employment during the period of their study to add to their income and also to help them gain work experience. Scholarships are very limited.

Application

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. To be considered for this scholarship applicants are required to complete a nomination form and hold a valid offer letter to study at Macquarie University. As part of the application form you must:

  1. Enter your student number as outlined on your Macquarie University Offer Letter.

Selection process

  1. Indian Partner Arts Scholarship is awarded to students based on their academic performance at the UG level.
  2. The students are also required to submit proof of the offer to study in an on-campus post-graduate program at the Macquarie University, to their undergraduate institute to get nominated for the scholarship.
