JHA FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP FOR EXCELLENCE IN FINANCE
Through the donation from Professor Ranjini Jha, School of Accounting and Finance, UWaterloo offers Jha Family Scholarship for Excellence in Finance. The scholarship is applicable to the students enrolled in the third and fourth years of the UG program in Accounting.

Eligibility
- The Jha Family Scholarship is open to students of all countries and nationalities, presently studying at the University of Waterloo.
- Be in the third or fourth year of any full-time Finance and Accounting UG course at UWaterloo.
- Have an average of 85% in the Finance program.
- Prospective scholarship applicants must note that preference will be given to ones who show interest in pursuing a career in finance through work experience/ related activities.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 153,100 The Jha Family Scholarship for Excellence in Finance is valued at 2,500 CAD (1,53,175 Rs.), which is financial aid for the payment of the recipient’s UWaterloo tuition fees. Other expenses such as health coverage, transportation, and accommodation to stay in Canada are not included in the funding. Available Scholarships: 1
Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. A separate application form is required for the Jha Family Scholarship for Excellence in Finance. Eligible applicants must register and apply online for the scholarship at the university’s official website. Provide the required student supporting documents:
- An updated CV
- Letter stating why you need and deserve the scholarship
- Evidence of work experience
- Extra-curricular achievements
Selection process
- The Jha Family Scholarship for Excellence in Finance award is given on the grounds of merit and academic performance.
- However, the priority is given to the students who show a keen interest in purusing a career in finance and management.
