INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (IPTSE)

ASSOCHAM and ERICSSON are jointly initiating Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) to educate the intellectual property in India at the school and college levels. Applications are invited for the academic. The objective of the proposed Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) is to help spread awareness of Intellectual Property and foster a spirit of innovation and enterprise amongst India’s vast young talent pool. Besides, this initiative would help to identify and tap excellence in the realm of Patent, Copyright, and Trademark & Design – collectively known as Intellectual Property (IP). The modus operandi would entail the dissemination of an online module on IP followed by an online exam targeted at class IX to XII school students and college students. Further, this exam is for UGs (Undergraduates) and PGs (Postgraduates). Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for Schools:

  1. All schools that provided Secondary and Higher Secondary level education are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  2. All private, public, international & open learning schools based within the geographical territory of India are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  3. All Boys, Girls, and Co-educational Schools are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  4. All Hindi medium, English medium, and other regional language schools are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  5. All Schools that have English as a subject are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  6. All Schools fulfilling the above criteria and with a minimum participation of 50 students in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE). Eligibility Criteria for School Students
  7. All students of Class 9, 10, 10+1 & 10+2 are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  8. Students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ etc..) are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  9. All students who can read and write in the English language are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  10. All students who have access to the Internet are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE). Eligibility Criteria for College Students
  11. All college students pursuing or have completed their course are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  12. All college students of any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Law/ etc..) are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  13. All college students of either PG or UG are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  14. All college students from any university are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  15. All college students who have opted for either regular courses or distance learning courses or vocational courses or open learning are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).
  16. All college students who want to be IP professionals in the future are eligible to participate in the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE).

Information is not Available. Registrations for Schools and College Students have separate registration processes. The Registration fee of RS 250 for each student. All registration will have to be logged in through the Sign-Up/ Sign in http://www.iptse.com. Registration Process for Schools/ School Students: Step

  1. School Registration The School will have to first log in and register themselves by filling up the details of their school. Schools can create their own user id and password for logging in. Step
  2. Student Data Upload Schools can download the format of student registration provided in Excel format and can also upload the same after filling up the required details of participating students. Step
  3. Generation of Student Ids After the payment of the registration fee and successful uploading of students’ information, the system will automatically generate the User IDs and Passwords of each participating student and send it to their registered mail ids respectively. Schools can check the progress by logging in to the portal and in the dashboard section. Step
  4. Completing Student Information As soon as the students log in for the first time, the system will ask them to change their current password and choose a new password. The students will have to log in with their unique username and new password and will have to fill in the required information. Step
  5. Student Access After filling in all the required information, the student can access the portal and use it for course content, examination, and results. Registration Process for College Students: Step
  6. Registration All college students can register themselves through the Sign Up page – For College Students on the website: http://www.iptse.com. Students will have to fill in their basic details, the site will navigate to the payment page. Step

Selection process

  1. The Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE) will be conducted online for a duration of 45 mins for school students and 1 hr. for college students.
  2. The exam will have 5 sections and each question will be time-bound.
  3. It will be a multiple choice objective type question.
  4. College students will have 5 extra questions than school students. Mock Test Mock Tests to test the candidate's speed and accuracy will be available at regular intervals. Students will be notified by e-mail and SMSs. Note:
  5. Students will be provided with the exact date and time of the examination well in advance.
  6. Students will have to arrange for a laptop and desktop with an internet connection on their own or through the school’s help. The results will be declared based on the following parameters​​​​​​​ 1 Background The question bank has been divided into 3 levels of difficulty and will have relevant weightage The exam will be divided into 4 sections and will have minimum qualification criteria 2 Categorization The program will identify 3 different categories of winners - Schools, Schools Students, College Students Each of these categories will have different levels of winners - School Level, District Level, State Level, and National Level. 3 Winner Selection On the basis of Max marks obtained + Difficulty levels attained + Time spent per question(if needed to break-ties) For School &School Students: The first selection will be for the National Level Champion The second Selection will be State-Level Champions The third Selection will be District Level Champions The final Selection will be School Level Champions For College Students top 3 will be selected at the national level and state level Other Info Rules & Regulation 1 . To avoid reducing your exam duration, login to the exam portal at least 15 minutes before to complete the system check. 2 . You will be notified of the time remaining, 10 minutes before the end of the examination. 3 . You may skip questions; however, you will not be able to return to the skipped question/s at the end of the exam. 4 . Please avoid switching between tabs/windows. Switching will result in auto termination. 5 . Don’t exit the exam portal during the examination, it will result in auto termination of the session. You will automatically be disqualified after the 3rd attempt at exiting/switching tabs or windows. 6 . Please close all other tabs & windows before you begin the examination. 7 . You are not permitted to leave your device during the examination. Washroom visits and snack breaks are not advised. 8 . Do not connect to external hardware like displays/monitors/projectors, before or during the examination. 9 . You are not allowed to use headphones, ear pods/buds, speakers, or any other listening equipment. There are no audio instructions/questions. 10 . Except the examinee, no other person is allowed near the examination device. 11 . At the end of the exam, ensure you confirm the submission of your answers. 12 . Do not abruptly close the examination tab/window; wait until your answers have been submitted.
