INDIAN OIL CSIR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and IndianOil invite applications for JRF positions under "IndianOil – CSIR Research Fellowship (hereinafter referred to as ICRF)". Eligibility

Following Candidates are eligible to apply for this fellowship:

  1. Candidates who have qualified the NET JRF exam of CSIR/UGC and who have valid tenure of fellowship for admission/registration up to February or later (Candidates qualified only for NET Lectureship are not eligible to apply) and who have not yet joined anywhere as Ph.D. fellow.
  2. Candidates who have qualified M.E. / M.Tech degree using GATE score (not older than GATE 2019) with minimum CPI/CGPA of 7.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent.
  3. Candidates qualified integrated M.E./M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) with minimum CPI/CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale or equivalent, are exempted from the requirement of GATE score.
  4. Candidates should not have joined anywhere as Ph.D. fellow. Award & availability

Stated amount: 42,000 Based on current CSIR rates:

  1. Rs. 37,000/month (first 2 years) + HRA
  2. Rs. 42,000/month (after upgrade to SRF) + HRA The programme supports up to 10 fellows annually.

Application

The Application fee is Rs. 1000 for General/OBC/EWS and Rs. 500 for the SC/ST/PWD candidates.

  1. Interested candidates may submit their complete CV along with copy of NET qualification to csirioclrf@iip.res.in specifying project code in subject line on or before November.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated the date of interview in the 3/4th week of November . The interviews will be held on MS Teams. Selected fellows will be required to join the concerned CSIR Laboratory in January. For More Information Click Here

Selection process

Selected candidates with M.E./M.Tech degree will be considered as SRF and will receive basic stipend and HRA which will be higher (up to 25%) than entitlement under NET SRF scheme of CSIR, for five years. Selected candidates with M.Sc. degree will be considered as JRF for two years followed by SRF for three years and will receive basic stipend and HRA which will be higher (up to 25%) than entitlement under NET JRF/SRF scheme of CSIR. NO HRA will be admissible, if the fellow is availing the hostel facility of IOCL R&D centre or CSIR laboratories. The selected candidates will be enrolled under AcSIR for PhD and will be governed by the administrative and academic rules and regulation of AcSIR. The selected candidate will bear all the fees related expenses as per AcSIR norms during the study. Candidates may apply against multiple project codes. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated the date and mode of interview through email. NO TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
