INDIA FELLOW SOCIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
India Fellow is an 18-month transformative social leadership program for curious professionals from various walks of life, willing to live and work alongside communities and find their leadership potential to bring social change. It is an experiential journey to immerse in our country’s realities and be our best version to build a better future. Since its inception in 2010, the program has welcomed 250 fellows from various academic and professional disciplines. These fellows have embarked on a transformative odyssey, collaborating with over 80 partner organisations across India on innovative projects. Guided by mentors from various spheres of life, participants delve into multifaceted issues spanning healthcare, livelihoods, education, climate change, human rights, governance, and beyond. Eligibility
- You are between 20 to 30 years of age.
- You are already a graduate (in any discipline) or will be before fellowship begins.
- You are an Indian citizen.
- You are ready for a 18 month full time commitment to the fellowship.
- You understand that this is not just a job and will expect you to be engaged 24X7 in the process with the community.
- You understand that you can be placed in any part of the country and in any thematic area.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 22,000 Fellows embarking on this transformative journey receive:
- A monthly stipend, ensuring financial sustenance throughout the program. Stipends range from INR 18,000 to INR 22,000, depending on the placement location. This ensures that they do not spend anything out of pocket in this journey for accommodation, food, local commute and so on.
- Health insurance coverage is provided by host organisations. No. of fellowships is subject to availability, please visit official website.

Selection process
Application: The application gathers all primary information about the applicant. Most answers are subjective and we need you to answer them after careful consideration. Telephonic Conversation: Once you clear the application round, we would like to have a phone call with you for 15-20 minutes to understand you better and help you know more about the program. Assessment Day: Everyone who clears the above rounds makes it to the assessment day. Here applicants take part in group activities and sit down with our team one on one for a personal interview.
