HIMACHAL PRADESH TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS SCHEMES

Scholarships for PG/Degree Level Courses

1. The Scholarships will be awarded to the P.G. Courses / Degree Courses level Courses in Engineering / Technology including Architecture or any other equivalent course approved by the India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
2. The Scholarship shall be awarded based on a. Poverty-cum-Brillance and b. Brilliance.
3. The Scholarship shall be awarded only if the total income of the sources of parents or guardians is not more than Rs 36000/- p.a.
4. The Scholarship shall be awarded strictly according to merit to be determined with reference to- a. Income of parents or guardian and b. Marks obtained in the Examination / Class by virtue of which a candidate is eligible for admission provided the students has Secured atleast 60% of marks in the said exam.This condition will however not be applicable to the SC and ST Students.
5. The students who become eligible for scholarships on the basis of poverty-cum-brillance shall first be awarded scholarships. After their list is exhausted,the remaining scholarships shall be awarded on the basis of brillance.
6. Only those students who are Bonafide Himachali and ward of H.P.Govt.employees shall be eligible for the award of scholarships. Scholarships for Diploma Courses

Stated amount: 500 Scholarships for PG/Degree Level Courses/Scholarships for Diploma Courses

1. The value of the Scholarship for P.G. and Degree Courses is Rs. 300/- p.m. for the General category and the value of the scholarship for SC and ST students shall be Rs.500/- p.m.
2. Diploma level courses students including SC and ST will get Rs.200/- p.m.
3. 100% Scholarships shall be awarded to the SC and ST Students in P.G. / Degree Courses. Scholarships for ITI Students(SC/ST/OBC/General)
4. Scholarships Rs.250/- p.m. will be provided to the students.
5. For General Category the value of the Scholarship is @ Rs.100/- p.m.
6. 175 for Technical Degree/ Master Course.
7. 75 for Technical Diploma/ Master Course.

5. Renewal Students are the students who have been granted scholarship in any of the scheme on-boarded at NSP, in the immediately preceding Academic Year.
6. Renewal Students can only apply for renewal of scholarship in the same scheme, for which they have been granted scholarship in the previous Academic Year. Student is required to update their marks obtained in previous year and submit the application on NSP Portal. The student must keep the account in which the scholarship was received in previous year as active (i.e. non-dormant) and functional to receive scholarship amount.
7. In case the student wish to apply for any other scheme, he/she must login using their previous year's application ID and password, select the option for withdrawing the renewal application, and then register as a Fresh Student in the current Academic Year. Thereafter, they shall follow the process for Fresh Application.
