Gunvant & Bharati Parekh immigrated to the USA in the late 60s. With hopes for a better future, they believed in the core Indian principals, raising their kids in the traditions and customs of their motherland. Gunvant Parekh was a forward-thinking pioneer. Being the first in his family to leave India, he established himself in a new country and helped his extended family settle in America. A progressive thinker and person, he believed in core Indian values. He was a disciplined, principled, and family man. He was a foodie, dancer, and lover of life. Gunvant & Bharati Parekh College Scholarship is offered to Indian students, currently studying in high school. Under this scholarship, two students are offered an opportunity to pursue a bachelor's degree in any top-ranking university in the USA. 1. Recipients are awarded a scholarship amount of 1, 000 USD (INR 83, 955). 2. Separate scholarship applications must be submitted before June 1. 3. Submission of a video essay is mandatory for all applicants. 4. Selection notifications will be released by August 1. The primary aim of this scholarship is to help Indian students to opt for studies in the USA. The award is given solely on academic merit and financial need. - If you were to take a gap year what would you do?
- Tell us about an accomplishment you are proud of. Instructions:
- Candidate can capture the video using a smartphone, computer, video camera, etc.,
- The video should be a short video (less than two minutes) that should respond to the Essay prompt above.
- The way to answer the prompt is completely dependent upon the candidate.
- The candidate should state his first and last name at the beginning of the video.
- The candidate should upload the video to YouTube.com and should provide a link to the private video to the foundation

Selection process
The Foundation conducts the selection process for the Gunvant & Bharati Parekh College Scholarship. Factors affecting the selection decisions are:

- Scores of attempted exams to study in the USA.
