The GSB scholarship league includes needy and poor students. Most of them are childrens of cooks, tailors, road side tea vendors, drivers, etc. Our aim is to strenghten poor and needy people by supporting them in their higher education. Eligibility
Students of schools and colleges in India are awarded free scholarships from standard 5 at the school level up to the Degree/graduate level.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 1,500 During the year, the League has disbursed free scholarship of Rs 118.37 lacs among 3495 students which includes about 40% of school students from villages and towns. Each school student received Rs.1,500 per annum. Of the total beneficiaries, about 55 % were girl students. Application
No Application Fee is required. A request on a POST CARD, application form is sent by post. It may also be collected from the League’s office. Filled in application form along with the supporting enclosures must reach the Leagues office by the due date as stated above in this form, only by post / by hand delivery. The form is revised each year as necessary. Application from previous years is NOT valid this year. click here to apply
Selection process
Freeship is granted to needy and deserving students of the Saraswat community, whose parents are unable to fully meet the student’s expenses for education. The League presently DO NOT give free scholarship to postgraduate courses (M.A., M.Sc., MCA, MBA, etc.)
