GREEN OLYMPIAD BY TERI

1. Students of classes 4th to 12th enrolled in a school affiliated with a recognized educational board or trust are eligible to appear for the Green Olympiad.
2. Students can participate in the online Olympiad directly from their homes.
3. All participants will receive a certificate of participation/merit or distinction based on their performance.
4. Private coaching institute and similar entities are not allowed to participate.
5. Individual registration from students is not accepted.

1. Rs 200 per student enrolled in schools based in India / USD 6 per student enrolled in schools based outside India.
2. Schools in India can retain Rs 20 per enrolled students for conducting the examination on campus and for any other logistical expenditure.
3. Additional charges for availing Resource Booklet (optional): Rs 120 per student enrolled in schools based in India / USD 4 for students enrolled in schools based outside India. The TERI Green Olympiad encourages the participation of students from classes 4-12 studying in a school recognized by the Indian education board. It is an awareness campaign that addresses environmental concerns and has the application window open for the TERI Green Olympiad registrations. Students from any school can participate in the Olympiad if they meet the eligibility conditions. The TERI Green Olympiad is based on the participants' environmental awareness and analytical skills. Candidates must submit their registration form before the due date to be eligible for the exam. The registration is done on two themes; students can participate in one or both of the themes mentioned below. Students must remember that the examination is not based on a prescribed syllabus or textbooks. The officials encourage the participants to do extensive reading and be well-versed with current affairs, facts, and changes linked to their environment. Language: Bilingual - English and Hindi Other Info Implementation Model of GREEN Olympiad GREEN Olympiad examination addresses a range of topics such as water, waste, energy, air, biodiversity, climate, global warming, sustainable development, culture, green skills and current affairs pertaining to environment and sustainable development. This year, we also aspire to create a convergence with Mission LiFE and promote the vision of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India to reach out to all parts of the country. The paper comprises of multiple choice questions that test students’ knowledge, application and analytical skills and simultaneously spreads awareness through informative questions. There is no negative marking and students are expected to appear for a paper based examination within the confines of the school.
