Application
No Information Available. Applications must be made online. You will need to fill in an online application form In addition to the online application form, you will need to send the following supplementary material:
- For theory/journalism based pathways, please provide an essay/written project of what you consider to be your best work for the Selection Panel to review and send via Dropbox, an introductory page of no more than 500 words explaining your work, methodology, and inspiration.
- For image-based pathways, please provide an electronic portfolio sent via Dropbox to http://scholarshipapplications@arts.ac.uk containing 1 PDF document, which should be an example of what you consider to be your best work for the Selection Panel to review, and must include: a. Title page with your name and course title. b. Introductory page of no more than 500 words explaining your work. c. Up to 15 pages of images with each image numbered and clearly labeled and annotated as appropriate.
- A copy of your most up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A professional reference.
- Household income evidence (please see online application form for more information).
- Evidence of financial hardship (if applicable).
- Evidence of medical condition (where appropriate).
Selection process
The Scholarship will be assessed on the basis of financial need and academic merit and, is a contribution towards living costs and expenses. The Assessment Procedure for Applications:
- Your application will be initially assessed by the University of the Arts London Student Funding Service based on the financial information supplied in your application and ranked according to financial need. Further evidence may be requested at a later date.
- Applications will be shortlisted by a panel of academics and then forwarded to the interview panel which will include representatives from the MA Fashion Communication course and LVMH.
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by Student Funding Service for an interview at Central Saint Martins. Applicants will be required to bring their portfolio and examples of their work to the interview. If you have not been offered an interview, please assume that your application has not been successful.
- To further support the Sustainability and Innovation goals of the CSM LVMH partnership the judging panel asks that applicants give due consideration to the impact of their work with regard to sustainability agendas.
- The panel will make their final selections by marking the quality of the application and the preparedness for high-quality study in the discipline area, and the articulation of how the Grand Prix LVMH Scholarship will contribute to the applicant’s studies.
- The selection panel’s decision is final and no correspondence whatsoever will be accepted or considered once the decision has been made. Other Info Applicants must have a raw talent that is both original and individual and the drive to succeed in the fashion industry. Applications are encouraged from students who are in financial hardship and who will benefit from financial support to realise their full potential and complete their studies.
