Miller Center’s Global Social Benefit Institute (GSBI) offers 6 months of highly customized mentorship and content with an opportunity to attend 10 days in residence at Santa Clara University. The applications are invited from the Social enterprise leaders of organizations that are operational, focused on serving people living below the poverty line anywhere in the world, and who can commit 3 - 6 hours per week towards working with their mentors through program deliverables. GSBI believes innovation and entrepreneurship provide a path out of poverty. We build the capacity of entrepreneurs dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing issues. Executive mentorship combined with structured curriculum are the foundation of our theory of change. Based in the heart of Silicon Valley at Santa Clara University, we combine Silicon Valley acumen and a drive to eradicate poverty and support social entrepreneurs around the world through their entire lifecycle. Eligibility
- A senior leader (e.g. CEO, Executive Director, Managing Director).
- Your organization is operational.
- Fluent in English or Spanish.
- Has consistent and reliable access to internet connectivity.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Your impact is focused on serving people living below the poverty line anywhere in the world.
- Has the availability to participate in the 6-month program requiring: a. Weekly 1-hour calls with mentors. b. Commitment to work a few hours per week on plan to become more investable.

Stated amount: Not Available Social entrepreneurs selected into GSBI Accelerator receive:
- Two mentors to work with for the program duration.
- Program management from GSBI staff with regular communications to keep you on track and provide support as needed, along with useful sector resources.
- Content tailored to your business needs with templates, tools, and resources.
- A full scholarship for the program costs. GSBI In-residence accelerator participants are expected to pay for round-trip airfare for the 10-day in-residence portion of the program at Santa Clara University. No. of scholarships is subject to availability, please visit official website.

- Operations Model.
- Management & Team Financials using the Stage Assessment Tool. We invite qualified applicants to a phone interview with GSBI staff and mentors. The strength of the application and performance in a 30-minute interview determines the finalists selected to begin the program. Other Info Requirements for an Organization-
- Committed to creating positive benefits for people living in poverty, addressing one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Intentional about supporting women’s economic power, climate resilience, or the intersection of both (see below for how Miller Center identifies women’s economic power and climate resilience).
- Committed to scale its solution far beyond current operations.
- Operational for at least a year and delivering products/services to customers.
- Has at least $50, 000 USD (INR 41, 95, 092) (or local currency equivalent) in annual earned income and is not entirely dependent on contributions or grants.
- Working financial model forecasting cash flow, balance sheet, income statement.
- Minimum 3 full-time staff (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3-month cash runway.
