GENERAL ENTRANCE AWARD PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP

The General Entrance Award Program Scholarship is offered to students applying for various UG programs at Dalhousie University. Every year, Dalhousie awards millions in scholarships and bursaries to support incoming students. More than 2,000 entrance awards are available through our General Entrance Award application. Entrance awards are offered to students who are entering Dalhousie in the Fall term. For students who are entering during a Winter or Summer term, 1. Students must have an 80% admission average or 26 anticipated/predicted IB Diploma Points. 2. External application form should be submitted for the General Entrance Award program Scholarship. 3. The application deadline for the same is March. 4. All applicants regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply for the General Entrance Award Program. Eligibility

  1. Generally, students need an 80% admission average or 26 predicted/anticipated IB Diploma points to be considered.
  2. Averages are calculated using the five courses that are required for the program that the student has applied for.
  3. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.
  4. For the First Nations and Indigenous Black Student (FNIB) Scholarships, the admissions average is not taken into consideration.
  5. You must remain registered in an eligible undergraduate degree/diploma program offered in the Faculties of Agriculture, Architecture & Planning, Arts & Social Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Health, Management or Science, or in the School of Dental Hygiene.
  6. In order to receive your scholarship, you must register as a full-time student (minimum 9 credit hours per term for degree students and 6 credit hours per term for technology students) at Dalhousie University for the term(s) in which the scholarship is awarded.
  7. This is the minimum registration requirement and some awards may require more credit hours per term. Students registered at King's College are not eligible for Dalhousie scholarships.

Stated amount: 1,005,969

  1. Award amounts typically range from approximately $750 (INR 62, 873) for your first year to $48,000 (INR 40, 23, 904) ($12, 000 (INR 10, 05, 969) per year for 4 years).
  2. We assess all students individually based on their complete application submissions.
  3. Some awards are offered based on academics and other achievements, some are based on financial need, and others are hybrid awards and consider a student's grades, involvement outside of the classroom, and financial need.

Application

Application Fees- $70 (INR 4, 318) To be considered for the General Entrance Award program, students must complete the application and submit any additional documents before the deadline.

  1. Login to Dal Online. Click on ‘New User?’ and select the option ‘Activate or Lookup your Net ID’.
  2. Find the Dal ID given on your acceptance letter to proceed further.
  3. Next, set up your NET ID by following the instructions on Dal Online.
  4. After setting up your Dal Online login and Net ID, follow the steps given below:
  5. Click upon the tab of Student Awards and Financial Aid and select the option ‘Apply for Student Aid’.
  6. Select the Aid Year.
