The Hirst Player Scholarship is funded from income from the Fund established in memory of Eric Noel Player and Wilfrid Bertram Hirst (both Fitzwilliam Hall 1911-14) to provide bursaries and studentships for men or women, preferably ordinands, reading for a Degree or a Diploma in Theology. Eligibility

  1. May be awarded to students needing assistance with fees or living costs (this award is for 1 year only - and it cannot be used towards the financial undertaking required for admission to the course).
  2. Also preferred - Intention to take Holy Orders in a Christian Church.
  3. Fitzwilliam College Hirst-Player Scholarship at the University of Cambridge is open to all nationals.
  4. Fitzwilliam College Hirst-Player Scholarship at the University of Cambridge is offered for Masters and Ph.D degrees.

Award & availability

Stated amount: 255,971 Award minimum value: Rs. 54,929 (£500) Award maximum value: Rs. 2,55,971 (£2,330) The number of awards is 2.
