EARTH-SHASTRA
Earth-Shastra brings together 30 young change-agents to embark on a 9-day immersive journey from across the country two times a year, in April and October. To explore the relationship between economics, ecology and the human self. After two remarkable editions in Palampur (H.P.) and Mumbai and, a collaborative edition with Swaraj Univerasity, Udaipur, THIRD edition is being launched that shall happen in Palampur (H.P). It inadvertently involves a focus on personal transformation and nurturing deep community over the 9-days. The immersive journey will involve nature connects, reflective circles, hands-on activities, creating everyday solutions. The vision is to build into a community that fosters an ecological way of being; inspires and amplifies action to harmonize the relationship between economics, ecology and human self. Eligibility
It is open to have participants from all kinds of backgrounds. However, people meeting atleast one of the following criteria are encouraged:
- Passionate about environmental issues and committed to doing something about it.
- Working or studying in the domain of Environmental Studies/Economics/Development/Public Policy.
- Working with corporate/non-profit/government and keen to understand how the dynamics between economics and environment play out in their context.
- Willing to take forward the learning from the program and apply in their communities.
- Are in the age group 18-30 years.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 42,000 Travel & Accommodation
- Food, stay and all other mandatory requirements during the program will be taken care of.
- Participants will have to reach the venue by early morning on Day
- Financial Contribution
- Putting together all the different parts of this whole program incurs significant financial cost, which includes costs of Facilitation, Program Design, Food, Accommodation, Transport, Material & Logistics, Mentoring etc.
- The cost per participant for 30 participants is 42,000 INR. Earth-Shastra brings together 30 young change-agents to embark on a 9-day immersive journey from across the country two times a year.
Application
No information available. We work with the principle of mutual selection to invite participants to our programs. The hope is for the program and community to be in the service of the participants' journey and viceversa. Selection process
It’s a mutual selection process. Through a three-step process - the application form, short call and long telephonic conversation, both the sides get an opportunity to understand each other and see the right fit for the program. Other Info Travel & Accommodation

- Stay will be basic with shared accomodation and baths. Location & Weather We will be in Auroville,Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Temperatures shall vary predictably between 24°C to 33°C.
