DR AMBEDKAR MEDHAVI CHATRAVRITI YOJANA FOR SC & OBC STUDENTS
Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana for SC and OBC Students. It is an initiative of the Government of Himachal Pradesh to financially help the meritorious students of the SC and OBC categories who have passed Class 10 from recognized institutions/schools of the state. This scholarship is awarded to the top 1,250 meritorious students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and the top 1,000 meritorious students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), based on their performance in the Matriculation Examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala. Selected scholars receive Rs. 12,000 annually for two consecutive years. Eligibility
- Students studying in 11th and 12th classes are eligible to apply.
- They must belong to the SC/OBC category as declared by the H.P. Government.
- The Scholarship will also be given in case the eligible student takes admission in any technical or professional course after metric, in a recognized Institution within or outside the State.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 12,000 Under the Scholarship an amount of Rs. 12,000/- per year will be given to each eligible student for two successive years after matric. This scholarship is awarded to the top 1,250 meritorious students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and the top 1,000 meritorious students from Other Backward Classes (OBC).

Selection will strictly be on the basis of merit. Other Info The objective of Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana for SC Students The Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chatravriti Yojana was launched by the government of Himachal Pradesh for the SC category students to provide financial assistance to complete their education. The scholarship will be given based on the candidate’s class 10th results. The candidate must have been admitted in class 12th or any course. Only the students of the state of Himachal Pradesh and the SC category can avail the benefits of this scheme. The applicant must fill out the application form before the last day to avail of the benefits of this prestigious scheme. This scheme will help the students to continue their education. Scholarship Tenure and Renewal:
- The scholarship is awarded for a maximum of two years.
- Renewal for the second year is contingent upon satisfactory performance in the internal Class 11 examinations. Dispute Resolution:
- The Director of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh, holds the authority to resolve any disputes arising from the scholarship program.
- In case of disagreement with a decision, applicants can raise the issue with the Secretary of Education, Himachal Pradesh, within 45 days of the decision being communicated.
