DEAN’S INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship is available each year to a prospective ANU student who is:

1. An international student. Dependents of the staff of diplomatic or consular missions are also eligible. and
2. Undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies at an institute which has an articulation agreement with the Colleges. and
3. Enrolling at ANU for the first time in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in the Colleges.

1. The award of scholarships will be based on academic merit. A Committee will consider the marks achieved in academic courses relevant to studying science at the ANU. Any academic achievements you list in your application will also influence your ranking.
2. As a guide, applicants with the equivalent of a High Distinction at ANU will be considered. However, as the scholarships are highly competitive a mark at this level does not guarantee a scholarship.
3. Please note that as University takes into account the academic achievements additional to those reflected in your grades, and only courses relevant to studying science are considered, the award of a scholarship may not reflect your ranking at your home university. For more details, please check the official website Other Info REPAYMENT OF FUNDS Subject to the information available at the time, the Delegated Authority in the College may request that the payment for the semester in which the breach of conditions or withdrawal occurs be refunded in part or in full. PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION The awarding of a scholarship/grant is based on the information provided to the University. An award may be withdrawn at any stage if incorrect, false or misleading information is provided or relevant information is withheld. This includes circumstances where the false information is unrelated to the assessment in awarding the scholarship/grant. VARIATIONS TO CONDITIONS OF AWARD In exceptional circumstances and on a case-by-case basis section 6 and/or 7 of these conditions of award may be varied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on the recommendation of the Chair of the respective College selection committee. TAXATION AND CENTRELINK Recipients are responsible for seeking taxation and Centrelink advice regarding their own individual circumstances. Scholarships/grants may be regarded as taxable income if a recipient is enrolled on a part-time basis.
