DEAKIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Deakin recognises students with consistently high academic performance and the potential to make a leading contribution to the university and its communities. Unsuccessful applicants of the Deakin Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship will automatically be considered for the Deakin International Scholarship. 1. Additional applications must be completed before the beginning of the applied semester. 2. Selections of Deakin International Scholarship recipients are based majorly on academic merit. 3. Shortlisted students may have to attend an interview with the selection panel. 4. There is no application deadline for the scholarship, however, it is recommended to submit the application on confirmation of admission. Since the number of scholarships is limited, the selections are quite competitive. Therefore, scholarships are generally awarded to applicants with scores above the stated minimum requirements. Eligibility
The Deakin International Scholarship is designed for international students who are starting their coursework studies at the university. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship program are straightforward:
- Have achieved a minimum average of 65% (or equivalent) in a previously completed degree or qualification.
- Enrol in a full-time undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) coursework degree program at Deakin University.
- Meet the general international student admission requirements set by Deakin University.
- Be a prospective international student for a coursework degree at Deakin University Additional Requirements:
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) Requirements: Achieve an IELTS score of over 6.5.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letters of Recommendation (LOR).
- Valid visa and passport.
- Transcripts from previous educational institutions.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) and relevant work experience, if required. Only applicants who meet the above-mentioned requirements will be considered for the scholarship program. Selection of successful applicants for the fixed number of scholarships will be competitive and may require scores above the stated minimum requirements.

Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enroll in the program. To apply for the Deakin International Scholarship, applicants must complete a scholarship Application Form and submit it by postal mail or email to the designated University address. Here are the necessary steps to ensure a successful application:
- Fill out the application form using block letters.
- Provide all the necessary information and include the required supporting documents.
- Submit the application and supporting documents either by postal mail or email to the International Admissions Office at Deakin University. Supporting documents You are required to submit:
- A completed Deakin International Scholarship Program application form.
- A personal statement (300 words).
- A completed application to study at Deakin including academic transcripts. Your personal statement must reflect your personal views. It should contain:
- An outline of why you want to study at Deakin University.
- An overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken.
- Why you think you would make an outstanding ambassador for Deakin University.

Selection process
The selection for the Deakin International Scholarship is merit-based. The number of scholarships offered is subject to a scholarship fund and hence students with higher academic scores hold a better chance of receiving the grants. Applying at the earliest is a possible way of increasing your chances because scholarship applications are processed as soon as they are received. The factors taken into consideration are:

- Personal statement The selection process may also include an applicant’s interview and will be notified of interview dates and timings as required. After the selection, recipients will be notified of selection to the scholarship within six weeks of applying. Other Info Important Point-
- Competition for the scholarships is extremely competitive. Once we receive your scholarship application, your application will be ranked against other applicants from across the world based on academic achievement.
- Scholarships are offered on a rolling basis in the months leading up to the start of the trimester. Only applicants who are successful in receiving a scholarship will be notified of the outcome of their scholarship application.
