COTTON FAMILY WOMEN IN MATHEMATICS GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

A scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time female graduate student enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Mathematics on the basis of academic excellence in their studies and/or research. The value of the award will be determined by the income generated by the fund each year, however, the goal is to provide at least one award valued at $3, 000 (INR 2, 51, 949)/annum. The scholarship is offered by the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. 1. Candidates are required to possess excellent academic records to be considered for the award. 2. It applies to masters and doctoral programs offered under the Faculty of Mathematics only. 3. A minimum of 1 scholarship is awarded every year. 4. Eligible candidates are automatically considered by the department at the University of Waterloo. Eligibility

This scholarship is aimed at helping talented women pursue advanced degrees in mathematics at the graduate level, at the University of Waterloo. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria to be eligible for the scholarship.

  1. Applicants must be either domestic or international students.
  2. Students applying to the following masters and doctoral courses at the University of Waterloo are eligible to apply: a. Applied Mathematics. b. Computational Mathematics. c. Computer Science. d. Mathematics for Teachers. e. Statistics and Actuarial Sciences. f. Quantitative Finance. g. Combinatorics & Optimization. h. Pure Mathematics.
  3. The applicant should possess a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the university.
  4. Must have excellent academic records.
  5. Only female candidates are eligible.

Award & availability

Stated amount: 251,949

  1. The value of the award given in a year will be determined by the income generated by the Cotton Family Fund.
  2. Efforts are made to award a maximum of $3, 000 (INR 2, 51, 949) per academic year.

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. Students are not required to apply separately to be considered for the scholarship. Eligible candidates are considered on a case by case basis by the respective faculty department. Selection process

The scholarships are awarded based on the merit of the application submitted by the applicant. ​​​​​​​
