CHEVRON CANADA RESOURCES SCHOLARSHIP IN ENGINEERING

Each year, two Chevron Canada Resources Scholarships in Engineering are awarded by the University of Calgary. The scholarship program is applicable to the final-year undergraduate students of the Schulich School of Engineering. 1. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply. 2. The reward amount must only be used for the payment of tuition fees. 3. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.20 in their previous years of study. 4. The scholarship program is non-renewable. While selections of Chevron Canada Resources Scholarship in Engineering are primarily based on academic merit, preference is given to those with experience in volunteering and community service. Eligibility

The University of Calgary requires Chevron Canada Resources Scholarship applicants to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Citizenship: Applicable for both domestic and international students.
  2. Study-Level: Undergraduate degree program.
  3. Eligible student: Final-year engineering student.
  4. GPA Requirement: Must have a minimum GPA score of 3.20.
  5. Must have completed a minimum of 24 units of academic coursework.6. At least 18 units of academic coursework, for students with a permanent disability.

Application

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. Applying for awards is easy. Submit the application for each available awards competition and you'll be considered for all the awards you are eligible for. Step 1- Access My UCalgary (my.ucalgary.ca) Step 2- In My UCalgary, click on the "My Financials" page. Step 3- Scroll down to the Awards & Scholarships section, and click on "Apply for Undergraduate Awards". Please ensure popups are enabled. If popups are blocked the page will not display. Step 4- A pop-up window will open on your screen with any open applications or ones that recently closed. Please pay attention to the ‘Application Available’ and ‘Application Deadline’ dates. Selection process

  1. The University of Calgary selection panel will evaluate each candidate’s application. Since the scholarship is for only final-year students, the candidate’s academic merit is a prime selection criterion.
  2. Apart from this, students with experience in community service and volunteerism will be given preference.
